Nothing "massive" happened... yet. ;)

I think most of the time the reason you/SX posters get shit on in here is generally because you make posts like these where you feign knowledge or have knowledge but when something goes wrong you're either silent or further act smug/know-it-all. It just gives off a bad look. Like you went silent for two weeks like they did, and then popped up to tell us the servers are back.

Like, we already know from your dancing with the keys discussion that you're either misinformed by someone speaking half-truths in your ear or informed but not sufficiently and then fill in the gaps with a lot of nonsense (the GaryOpa approach to making shit up).

What exactly was there to say that wasn't already said in the locked thread over these 2 weeks? There was no new info and now that the original domains are back up, people are just hanging on the fact that it took 2 weeks. If TX said anything it would have turned into a "you're lying" thread again anyways. The original domains are back up and people are still shitting on them.

What exactly could anyone have said before today on this forum that wouldn't have turned into the normal TX bashing thread like this one is turning into?

Well the premise I laid out was one of the original issue on feigning definitive knowledge, which was around the original disappearance where it was downplayed as a short outage. If you don't do the former, the latter when things go long usually doesn't blow back up in your face. Obviously nothing can ever be "full proof" to avoid shitposting.

"Oh hey we're having registrar and migration delays" is hard to really be mad at at unless you delve into weird conspiracies.

But the 24-48hr meme now exists because of the premise I laid out. It really just doesn't help when GaryOpa or other posters affiliated with TX just make wildly incorrect and yet "I know lots ;)" posts that are at best misinformed, it fuels a fairly distrustful environment.

I get it. I'm just curious what the difference would have been. As you can see anything TX related turns into shit posting. If they post anything they're lying, if they don't that's still an issue, but everything else is allowed to just throw speculation around with no consequences or anything. The original thread was locked and yet one of the modes updated it still saying the sites were down, but Ok status. Still leaving it basically at the domains being seized. Shouldn't that thread now be updated saying the original domains, which clearly weren't seized, are back up? Don't need to post links. They can post Whois as they did so many other times in that thread.

Again not saying it wasn't a long ass time for something that probably shouldn't have been. There's a plenty of ways things can be handled better, but this is where this topic is and still people are hung on the "it wasn't 24-48hrs" since they can'y say the domains were seized anymore.

The Panama papers proved a ton of tax evations etc. This is how well the Panama laws work. They don't share any information at all. So having their websites registred in Panama it's a lot harder to take them down again. I'm still kind of sure Nintendo did something against them, but they managed to move them from Prolocation to Namecheap, before they got seized. If you look at their previous website that was used like ages ago. Nintendo took it from them, but it was a different gang back then.
Those papers led to our ex-PM to be disqualified from office alongside different members of his Government. The Pakistani Prime Minister. His ass in jail btw.
