I aint shook one bit. Tx is future proof and rocking. I don't understand one thing; whatever inside guy they have they had access to Nintendo dev news means that Nintendo just post filenames of the new fw SDKs and not the files?

If these idiots have such a problem with their moronic customer base updating their consoles and flooding them with inquiries why not just stop advertising as future proof?

Instead to offset the emails they would request get sent to that wholesale address they go threw the trouble of revamping their forums only not to be present themselves but they decide to take members that have been loyal to them for over a decade give them a moderator badge and whatever else to make them feel appreciated. Yet they are keep entirely in the dark have no real inside knowledge to anything involved in operations because why would they be? Up to a month ago they merely bought bulk chips and were installers but now are being used to control the angry people who bought tx solution under the guise of the easiest straight shot piracy.

Let us ignore the source for a moment and just look at the theoretical, possible threat of Nintendo "bricking" RCM Enabled units:

While it might sound dumb (RCM is the recovery mode to *fix* a brick with after all) I could see one possible option Nintendo could choose to use, even though I don't think this is very likely.

Do you remember the TX "brick" Code that would render a Switch useless if you tried to crack their payload? If I remember correctly they locked the NAND with a passwort or something like that and made it write protected? (If anybody remembers what I am talking about - I could not find a link to the discussion, but it was on GBATemp).
What if Nintendo did something simmilar? For that they would have to be capable of figuring out if someone tinkered with the boot partitions to trigger RCM, but since all RCM Tools do the same thing it should be trivial for Nintendo to implement a check, right?

I don't have enough technical understanding about how the official update procedure works and what Nintendo can check during install time, but hey, it's their System, if they can't do it nobody can.
I am not saying that Nintendo will do that, I merely want to discuss the possibility of Nintendo using this "trick" to disable RCM Enabled Switches.

technically its future proof since with the RCM exploit you can basically do everything you want

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

it may take time to have a *insert future fw here* support but it will be supported

Ask to SciresM:
https://ibb.co/8c5ZJ4J

He say that "On patched units, autoRCM is a hardware brick"
well you do actually corrupt parts of your Switch technically with AutoRCM. So no wonder it's a hardware brick on patched units.

Btw I changed the title to [RUMOR] before since it's not confirmed yet.

autoRCM reboots automatically to rcm and with patched switch the exploit is blocked so you are blocked into rcm
