So, my New 3DS XL (which i have owned for two years,) was recently part of an unfortunate accident. It escaped from my pocket when i was going high speed on my dirt bike, and i found it and it looked okay. It was dirty, and the plastic cover on the top screen was loose. I snapped it back on and headed home. Now, my system won't power on. The blue LED turns on, then immediately turns off. Both screens turn on (and are fine) before the system turns off. It charges normally, with the orange LED staying on until I power on the system. It seems to be dead. I watched a video, hoping to find help. (this one, to be exact. ) I followed instructions and tested the two fuses that it said to test (with a voltmeter,) and both have continuity. i couldn't test if the chip was the problem because i didn't have the necessary equipment. System is still dead. During re-assembly, i accidentally damaged a small blue flex ribbon cord that connects the bottom screen to the motherboard. And it's still dead. But probably even more dead now. Google hasn't been any help, Nintendo hasn't been any help. Plus, my system is heavily modded (just softmods, nothing hardware-wise,) so Nintendo probably wouldn't fix it anyway. This is the last place i could go for help. If anybody could help, I would be very thankful.

Normally, that would mean the boot.firm can't be read. Maybe damage to the internal storage? I'm not an expert, but since the ribbon is now broken too...

Nope. That means that there is a hardware failure. Mostly just a loose ribbon cable. So OP, if you can, just open the console and check all the top screen ribbons that they are secured in place.
Also, do you here a POP when it shuts down?
Can you show which ribbon cable did you damaged.

Sadly I can't show the damaged cord as i dont have a camera, but all i can say is that it's at small, really annoying blue/black one that connects the bottom screen to the main board. I screwed up the end in my troubles of reconnecting it. Also, no sound at all when it shuts down. Top screen ribbons seem to be secured, but i really cant say for sure due to my fat fingers and the location of the connectors on the main board. (the board in question is RED-CPU)

EDIT: I'm getting desperate. Help.
