Quick question, do the audio files have to be converted to run on the Switch? I've got an old OGG pack which has music from The Black Mages which ran on Bootleg, with all file names correct and in the correct folder. So just wondering if theres a specific format of .ogg I need.

I've been trying to improve the world map textures and seem to be running into a limit on the size of world_us.lgp (using unmodified exe.) Seems to hard-lock the Switch on map load somewhere around 53-54 MB. Its very hard to fit full replacement sets even heavily downscaled in that range, and the results don't look great. So I think someone more knowledgable would have to be selective about which textures they improve, and there will be a tradeoff with improved models eating up the same space.

Should work fine, but can you share, that sounds amazing!

Here is the first part release of FF7 Project Omnislash on Nintendo Switch. This project replaces all enemies, main characters, NPC's, sound effects and videos/Avatars with HD up scaled assets. This first part release covers Cloud and his friends journey up to by passing the monstrous Midgar Zolom and crossing into the Fort Condor and Juno continent! Enjoy the project.

Nope havent started yet. Pretty sure you just make a looping .ogg though, you can Google that
I’ve already found online the music converted to .ogg for the steam version, but how can I put in the game? I imagine I could do that using layered putting the files in the titles folder, but I don’t know precisely in wich path. Anyway, the .ogg files for the steam version doesn’t require any conversion?

Not to my knowledge, no.

Is it possible to make changes to the Kernel.bin file appear on the switch?I've been using wall market to make some changes to the kernel.bin file on PC.I've tried transferring the kernel.bin file to the switch using the exact same folder structure----data>kernel>kernel.bin/kernel2.bin and data>lang-en>kernel>kernel.bin/kernel2.bin but the changes aren't showing up on Switch even though they work for me on PC.

Would appreicate any help on this matter.

EDIT: Ok figured it out. Apparently while the file is KERNEL.bin on PC, it must be kernel.bin (small letters) on switch. So for anyone who wishes to mod the kernel, just FYI, the filepath remains the same as that on PC, but the filename is in small letters.

First i want to thank all the people involved in this project.
You guys ROCK! Great work!
I did stop by about 6 years ago to check the PC mods, but it's come so far since then and I love what I see!

Just got the Project Omnislash installed on my Switch with remastered music,
and got my savegames loaded from my iPad so I can jump right back in from where I stopped last time! :)
(if anyone is struggling with this let me know, I'll gladly help)

I'm wondering if there is an "official meeting spot" for Switch FF7 modders , or is it these two threads?
can't seem to find a discord link in the first post...?

Also have anyone been able to load all or parts of the Reunion or Remako HD mods yet?
