Install the latest version of WiiU USB Helper!

Original Developer: Hikari06

Background: USBHelperInstaller was developed as a workaround for the "dead" WiiU USB Helper. All credit goes to FailedShack and their development team.

How to Install:

Right Click & Run USBHelperInstaller.exe as Administrator
Select WiiU USB Helper Version 0.6.1.655
Allow for Download & Install
Right Click & Run WiiU USB Helper as Administrator (Always Launch as Admin!)
Select Language & Accept Terms
Select Download Location
Copy & Paste Title Key(s) URL in both WiiU & 3DS
Don't forget to set your filters!

Extra/Help:

Installing DLC + Updates? You must INSTALL titles & PLAY titles using CFW!!! (Recommend Using Mocha)
Can't find your favorite Original Wii/Gamecube Game? Use TeconMoon's Injector instead! (Need Help? Click Here!)
Downloads not working? Try temporary disabling Windows Defender or you Anti-Virus protection. Alternatively, you can add both WiiU USB Helper folders located in %Appdata% to your exclusion list. (If you installed to default location)
Downloads still not fully completing or starting? You may need to over-ride your built in Windows Defender firewall settings. I've made this simple, just download and extract the stable re-pack below, right-click and run USBHelperLauncher.exe as administrator, when Windows warns you about running the program; click More Info and Run Anyway, then when your firewall protection pops-up; add the exception to both your public and private network. If you would like to make a desktop shortcut for easy access, right-click on the USBHelperLauncher.exe file again and Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut).

Just a fyi. I tried this version a few months back to see what it was downloading and the download included a RAT. I let it run and around 2am I watched someone login and mess with my throwaway Windows install.

Looks like an issue with your internet protocol settings or anti-virus software. As with other title downloaders, WiiU USB Helper only downloads directly from the Nintendo eStore. That's why you have to provide Tiks.

Can OP confirm this? If a RAT(Remote Administration Tool) is embedded to the package, It can be a security concern, specially for those that don't pay attention to what is running in the background on their computers.

I'll check it out anyways.

@Hikari06 so he could help people with issues with the app.

That's a really weird reason to put a Remote Administration Tool in an app. There's a reason Microsoft Remote Assistance requires permission from the host and the agent by default in windows.

The app you download locally is a stub that fetches a remote binary that included a RAT. I had no idea it was actually put in there by the author as I thought it could have been a MITM thing, but it was not nice of someone to start fiddling around with my WIndows install (I literally watch them browse around my system and look at settings using the mouse pointer). If you're going to use this thing I suggest at least using a VM if not a totally isolated computer that you will wipe afterwards. Of course, the main purpose of this app is to download copies of games from Nintendo so maybe you get what you deserve by pirating. I suggest you avoid it and buy your own games.

EDIT: I forgot the say it installed the RAT into Windows as I totally shut down the program, rebooted and waited. The program wasn't running at all when whomever logged into my Windows install.

I'm not quite sure about the solution on Reddit. I'm not developing this, however I found it helpful to others to have it all located in one location.

As the developer of USBHelperLauncher I can attest to there being no RAT embedded in Wii U USB Helper.

cant find both tik website, the ones i found won't work, deleted all old installation folders in %appdata% hikari & usb helper; help ?
