I've been enjoying n64 games using the mupen64plus next core. Everything works great aside from Majora's Mask. The title screen and some cutscenes (like Link looking for Navi and turning into a Deku Scrub at the very beginning) just show a black screen with a one pixel wide strip of video on the far right and left of the screen. I've seen people say the fix for this is to turn on framebuffer emulation which will show the videos at the cost of performance. I've tried this and it does make the title screen show up but the opening scenes of Link looking for Navi and turning into a Deku Scrub still show the black screen. Is there a fix for this or should I just give up and be happy that every other game seems to work perfectly?

Since both Switch Hacking subReddits suck major fucking ass in terms of allowing me to ask for help, I thought I'd try asking for help here. I can load the latest RetroArch from the homebrew launcher, but no controls work whatsoever. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Well i will give you my two cents but if u look at page count you have alot of catching up to do.

Basically something is wrong as my controls work great. With very little to no edits based on core and game. Are you using a first party controller? Are you using sx os cause you should not you should be using atmosphere. Are you using exfat? If yes that is not the way sd should be fat32 format. Are you using a retroarch nsp or an eshop title id that you added to loadeR.ini? So these are basic things you should start reviewing.

Using Atmo, made no edits because I literally can't, Using a Nintendo set of Joycons that came with the switch. FAT32, and I've tried downloading Retroarch from the homebrew store and manually doing it myself via PC/SD card.

SX OS works fine now they have the JIT patches and everything.

hi man btw you really inspired me with the forwarders anywho

i still notice issues when i run sxos so that's why i give that recommendation. I play alot tho. It's mostly good n64 is when i see little things here and there at this point.

framebuffer emulation is off, turn it on.
Also Color + depthbuffer are required for certain aspects.
Use defaults (you can reset a core option to default with "+")

Tried mupen64 build from Twitter link and it’s definitely faster, I wonder what settings are you using guys because there are segments in which it lags considerably then plays smoothly, then lags again. Playing with stock cpu speed
