Yacht Club Games announces Cyber Shadow, a new ninja platforming game

Are you looking for a new ninja based platforming game with retro stylized graphics? Because that's what developer Mechanical Head Studios and team behind Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games are working on. Titled Cyber Shadow, the game is a tight action-platformer with some clear inspiration from Ninja Gaiden. A trailer was provided directly after the reveal, showing off the gameplay throughout multiple varied levels. As noted in the press release, the soundtrack will be handled by Enrique Martin, with help from Jake Kaufman, known for his work on DuckTales: Remastered, Shovel Knight, Shantae: Half Genie Hero, and more. There's no confirmed release date, but Cyber Shadow will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and will cost $14.99.

In Cyber-Shadow, the world has been taken over by synthetic lifeforms. A desperate plea for help sets Shadow on a journey to uncover what started the path to perpetual ruin. Slash through the techno hordes, leap past traps, and nimbly navigate the ruins of Mekacity.

Only you can unlock the secrets to your clan’s ancient powers in Cyber Shadow, the quintessential Ninja Action game.

Oh geez! I've been following the development of this game for a while on Twitter and giving insight.

I had no idea it was associated with Yacht Club Games. They're a publisher now? That's actually pretty awesome.

I like it. The style of making the characters not that chubby anymore allows for more precision gameplay wise, which Shovel Knight had not that much.

Looks like a mixture of NES games Ninja Gaiden, Batman, Shatterhand, and Metroid. Pretty sweet. Makes me wish I had a Switch.
