Still had no luck catching the excitement values - but I didn't put much time into it this time. Thanks to the last video posted, and the unlimited money cheat - getting characters to lv. 100 within 5x or 7x periods seems viable without further cheating. Essentially you could buy them items they like/love and repeat what you see in the video with volleyballs, regardless of cost.

And here is what the game becomes, after approx. 30 hours. I edited some clips together in a spot editing training session (audio track is unaltered (only fades are set)). The video is NSFW, and unlisted on my channel for obvious reasons. I picked by far not the most outrageous outfits. And there are still "harder" poses to unlock, than the ones used in the video.

So people who grind in this game - grind for this:

In what way? I'm curious. Only played 1 before and am starting to grasp, what this game has become.

Essentially, its all a front for what opens up around level 30.. ;) Which is a full on, get the girls in any location, at any tan level, at any skin wetness level, in any outfit - in deshoveled state or not, in loops of animation capture (and I am talking about 100s of poses), reacting to your presence not saying much, but enough, while you pan around them - the game. This is what VR is for. People literally laying themselves next to their virtual idol. On the hotelroom bed, or in front of it.

At that point the motivation for playing the game shifts entirely. You start to think more about min/maxing, because its a grind fest, and when you do - you will do repeat vacations, that only have you do outside activities to cancel them, to get back to your suite faster, to be able to buy and gift suits. This might be aided by the endless money cheat - but once you've done that loop twice, you'll start looking differently at you and the game.. ;)

From a design point of view, this is a marvel of delayed gratification, there are five or six economies in the game, all pitched against each other, and against you grinding the poses for what I'll call "VR mode".
Its: Do you want to buy suits. Do you want the girls to take them from you. Do you want them to take them from other girls (different suits). Do you want to grind for money? Do you want to Grind for Zack money? Do you want to grind for level (unlocks), do you want to grind for satitsfaction (one girl or multiple?), do you want to grind for chance of gift acceptance, ... and then you need all of it for the 'girls' to "learn" the more outrageous poses.

Once you are in that loop - youll spend approx 100s of hours with the game to unlock stuff for a single "girl". Those motivation curves are in there. Its remarkable, how its crafted.

If you play a long and input intensive vacation, rewards will be greatest, but then you usually dont have the motivation for the repeat menuing at night times and if you do, youll burn out against simply maxing the amount of times over time you can offeer gifts (with a set refusal rate).

The design is impeccable... Its always a push and pull between what you want and getting there.

And it doesnt stop there. The favourite food items? And names? And gifts? They dont have "so and so likes it" item descriptions at first. They get drafted in once you "successfully gifted an item", after you reach a certain character level. This leaves you with the impression, of actually learning the girls tastes, if you are in on the 100 hour grinds.

And it doesnt stop there. The girls have birthdays. Around which the game allows you x7 grinding rate of the only value that "never drops" and thats actually somewhat important to be able to grind "better".

x7 is significant, and cant be bought. So now you are incentivized to look up the birthday weeks of the girls, and mark them in your calendar...

Trust me, I didn't know what the fuzz with Sony censoring bathsuit failures (= "for the entire game", but for VR mode really) was all about, now I know.

This game has become the "life service" that set out to give you a "virtual relationship experience".

If you play for 10 hours and didn't get "hooked" you know nothing. Essentially. :)

There are postings from people on gamefaqs, that the announcement of Leifang being in the game "made their day". And then supportive postings from others who feel the same way. And the announcement pic, is a side profile of her face. And you ask yourself why - do they do that. And then you play the game (about 17 hours in), and you start to understand.

This - on many levels, is a devilishly masterful piece of "gamedesign". And its not much of a game (gameplay) at the same time.

And with every little part of the game design that gets revealed you start to understand, that they FULLY understand what they have at their hands. (Zacks (?) voice, when catcalling the girls in picture mode, zoom levels being higher in VR mode, with the girls having "you are too close" responses (bodylanguage, getting flustered), tooltips, that tell you to buy a cheap white swimsuit, because it gets you know what (seethrough), when wet, ... None of it makes any sense on the "game level" - until you hit VR mode.

Its has become that kind of game.

They didnt design it broader over time - they designed it "deeper". And if you don't understand the meaning, watch this:



i hate delayed gratification (and grinding in general), and hate it even more in VR. So glad i have hacked Switch. EdiZon really upped the fun factor in tons of games, especially octopath traveler.

anyway, back to doa... the "interaction" with the girls are too damn limited. Summer Lesson is more interactive than this. Originally the game allows "fan" and "hands" in VR right? any idea why it was scapped?

You can easily max out the excitement just using Edizon.

On a fresh save just search for 400, then give something like favorite food, which adds +3 to that value.

Repeat till you find the address, then just input a crazy value like 9 million, and the girl won't be able to refuse accepting gifts.

I've tried this many times but no success.

I delete savedata ,start new game , goto the island, choose Kasumi, avoid partenering, buy a food which Kasumi LIKE, search for 400 by Edizon with u32(it returns over 1000 results), eat the food, then search again for 403 by Edizon with u32 but it always returns zero result.

Could you be more specific about what you actually did? What character did you chose, what food/drink ,what data type(u32 or other) , when did you search , what search results did you get, etc?


Edit:Don't mind above. Just successed. Initial value is not 400 but 403. The addres was like 0x009F4D7218 (but it changes with every new vacation). The parameter is like satisfaction rate x10 (so its 0 to 1000). You can enter 9999999 to it but it's capped to 1000 soon unless you freeze the value. If you freeze the value to 9999999 and finish the 14th day, you'll get 100 excitement level at result screen (without any otther cheat).

Edit2 : Finished 2nd vacation (14th day) with another character but I didn't get 100 excitement with 9999999 satisfaction this time. Looks like you need another condition. Probably using consumable counts cheat is safe bet.

I find a savedate,it nearly have all swimwear and itmes every girls.But girls still lv1,I think my savedate plus your savedate which girls are lv100.It will be a perfect savedate.

The game is designed for you to first grind money to buy "hot" outfit, then finding out that you have to do repeat menuing for 5 hours for a chance for someone to accept it. (Its hard to have gifts come over from owner mode to the girls. All hotter outfits are exclusive ownermode purchases at first.)
Why do people play these games again?

Theory crafting on catching your satisfaction value. :)
(Was bored, so I did some research.. ;) )

Formula for "taking over" satisfaction from your previous vacation seems to be this:

Kerfuffle indicated that the value to be changed is 400 on a new save, this corresponds with:

x = 40.0 in that case.

Lets look at this with a "perfected character" on a previously perfect playthrough:

x = 80.0 in that case. (so satisfaction starting level will be 80 on the next vacation).

How about with a character on level 4, with a previous vacation end result of 60?

x = 52.48 which is where this gets interesting.

Because the likelyhood of us getting two figures after the decimal spot is high. So now if we assume 400 = 40.0 we have to factor in rounding, and test out two starting values for the end result of every past vacation with a character.

Or we could write down all the ending values for a vacation and all the character levels (same screen at the end of a vacation), calculate them out and hope for a three figure value (i.e. 52.5).

Where f stands for final satisfaction of the character in the last vacation and l for the girls level (excitement level)

Now because there is such a high variability in the starting level - we need to make sure that all the other factors are well known and dealt with.

1. Start a new vacation already knowing (+/- 1 at most) your presumed starting value.
2. REFUSE to partner up with another girl.
3. Search for your value.
4. Start the rock climbing event, and immediately exit it (start, then exit, confirm)
5. According to @Kerfuffle this should add 4 to your starting value.

@Kerfuffle: Could you make sure, that this series of events doesnt introduce a raise in the value by anything other than 4.

And could you also find out the value that gets added for rock climbing "won" which should be higher. This is just, so we get a feeling on how the game handles decimals. 4 added would make sense for "you gain less than half a point" by exiting the event, but then you said, that favorite fruit adds 3 (when eaten) which kind of seems odd. (Only one third of a point?)

Math homework done, daddy - may I play Switch now? ;)

edit: And just so you get a feeling what 100 girls level does on an average vacation.

For satisfaction 30 on your previous vacation:
You start at 46 with girl level 1 and at 52 with girl level 100, on your next vacation.

For satisfaction 40 on your previous vacation:
You start at 48 with girl level 1 and at 56 with girl level 100, on your next vacation.

For satisfaction 60 on your previous vacation:
You start at 52 with girl level 1 and at 64 with girl level 100, on your next vacation.

For satisfaction 80 on your previous vacation:
You start at 56 with girl level 1 and at 72 with girl level 100, on your next vacation.

So those are the ranges you are dealing with. Once you add one decimal to this value (i.e. 40.0) you'll never catch it in EdiZon by chance - unless all further factors (adding nothing but a 4 through starting and immediately exiting rock climbing) are completely known. :)

You always search for 400, if you did previously reset the vacation.

Just quit a vacation, start a new one, buy some indifferent or liked consumables and look for that 1 or 3 value increase, done.

excitement level doesn't matter, that is a separate modifier.

Confirmed working. I'll now do the promised writeup. :)

But before I do, lets make a collection of satisfaction values, while we are at it. :)

I've found out the following when looking up the addresses for previous cheats in DOAX3: Addresses will change on consecutive playthroughs (So when you start more than one vacation without exiting the game in between) - but if you exit and restart the game after every completed vacation - addresses seem to stay the same for each character.

Satisfaction address (raise to 9999999) for Marie-Rose (no weirdo, just the first character I picked, of the ones I had already raised their chara level with, I promise.. ;) ):

HEAP + 0x009f3f3188

for the purpose of cheat file creation, you just use 9f3f3188
And now for the step by step writeup. :) (give me 10 minutes :) ).

Also know, that doing this once, will also raise your player level to 110 as well. So if you want to enjoy the game normally for a bit, I suggest you playing until player level 30 or 40 on your own - without unlocking the rest first. Thats, when the grind curve gets outrageous, basically. :)

Tutorial on raising the girls satisfaction level to 9999999 and thereby getting 100 excitement (girls chara level) at the end of one vacation -

using Atmosphere 0.8.5+ and EdiZon.

First, get familiar with using EdiZon in combination with DOAX3. Read the following posting - https://gbatemp.net/threads/cheat-codes-sx-os-add-and-request.520293/page-207#post-8562824 -, and try out other cheats in the game first.

Make sure they are working for you, before you continue.

Now, lets get going. :)

// A - Doing a "cancel vacation run" to reset the starting value to 400 on the following playthrough (needed if you are not starting with a fresh savegame).

1. Pick the character you want to work with, start a new vacation, refuse the partner you are offered.
2. Switch to owner mode by pressing -
3. In owner mode start the "take a photo of rock climbing" mini game, its a selectable item on one of the two beaches.
4. Repeatedly press + (start on normal controllers) to skip the minigame.
Do this twice, until its evening, and you moved to your hotel room

This is to get you familiar with the fastest possible way to get through a day. Owner mode. (Take picture of) Rock climbing. Press start to skip. Repeat.

5. Once in the hotel, select "end vacation early" from the Girls mode item list (press - (select on normal controllers ;) ) to switch between owner and girls mode), to cancel your current vacation.

This will reset your satisfaction value, for that character, on the next run to 400 (in memory). Which makes it easy to find.

// B - Doing the proper 'cheated' playthrough

0. Exit the game, and start it up again (just to be sure previous runs dont conflict).

1. Pick the same character you did previously. Start a new vacation, refuse the partner you are offered.
2. Once the cutscene of your partner being terribly disappointed (;)) finished, exit out of the game with the home button and open up EdiZon. Navigate to the DOAX3 thumbnail and press Y. With L and R select u32, then press Y to search for a value in memory. Enter 400, and search for it (by pressing +). The result should be a few 1000 adresses. Press home, and get back into the game (which should have kept running in the meantime. :) )
3. In Girls mode buy 5 of the same food items (consumables) from Zacks Store. Chose not to wrap them, and confirm the purchase for each item. (Its faster not to wrap them).

Favorite food items will raise the 400 value you started with by 3, normal food items by 1. Buy favorite food items preferably - as an increase by 3 might make you catch the value in EdiZon faster.

To find out which consumables are favourite food items for your girl, use an online resource like: https://doa-x.com/en/girls

4. Exit the store, and while still in girls mode, press Y to bring up your girls inventory. Eat the first food item (for the rest of the guide we assume it was one of her favorite foods (value increase by 3)) you bought.
5. Press home again and switch back to EdiZon. Press Y again to search for a value. Enter 403 and confirm (pressing +). This should reduce the results by a good number. If you are left with only one result of 403 found, thats already your coveted address.

// IF not.
Press home, return to your game, eat the second food item, press home, return to EdiZon, search for 406. Check if you have only one found address left.

Repeat (adding 3 to the above number) until you are only left with one value.

// IF not and "no values were found"
Something went horribly wrong (Eating the food item made you finish one of the random quests? Maybe the girl picked a favorite bikini at the start and that changed the value?) - you have to start over.

6. Once you are left with only one address value in EdiZon, change the value for that address to 9999999 by pressing A on it.
7. Return back to the game, switch to Owner mode, and do your usual starting "photo of rockclimbing" and skipping session to get the day over and done with. You will stay in Owner mode from now on, for the rest of the vacation.
8. Once in the hotel only pick "go to bed" to sleep to the next day. Dont do anything else (will be fastest, and reduce the chance of your value being interfered with).
9. From now on repeat your cycle of skipping rock climbing, and going to bed, until you've reached day 14 (will take approximately 15 minutes). If you notice your girl starting to comment on how wonderful the vacation is in the hotelroom at night, you are on the right path. ;)

10. On day 14 in the hotelroom, check the value in EdiZon once more, make sure its still 9999999 if its not, correct it once more. Then return to the game and sleep one final time, to end the vacation. Profit. Let the game save.

Should you do any activity, that gives you satisfaction by mistake (rock climbing in Owner mode does not, sleeping does not), the value first will reset to 1000, which presumably is its 'intended' max.

You could also freeze the value at 9999999 with EdiZon to always keep it at that - but those would be extra steps, so I've left them out not to complicate this further. ;) Just check back on day 14 if your value is still at 9999999 before you end the vacation, and you should be good.

Switching to a swimsuit she doesnt like should be sufficient to bring it back to 400, but untested as of now.
