Hey!
Been using Ez flash omega with my GB micro for maybe a month now.
Gb has freshly replaced battery. Sd card is brand new, specially bought for use ji omega with about 1500 roms on it.
The thing is: the battery dies relatively quickly. About 4 hours. From what i found on forums, it could be improved. Are you EZ guys working on some new kernel that could help ?
Is there a way for me to improve it ? I've heard that using NOR and not using RTC help, is it true ?
Thanks a lot guys

RTC is hardware built into the flashcart, you really can't improve by not using it; it is always on the moment you turn on your GBM. It is the games that either uses or doesn't use the RTC. Games like later pokemon titles that use the clock for example.

Using NOR is the only thing that reduce your power drain. PSRAM takes more power to use than NOR overall. Using PSRAM will reduce the NOR's READ/WRITES limits, extending the lifespan of the flashcart.

That is the trade off between the two uses. You might want to look into getting a replacement GBM battery in a few years.

That's not entirely true. However, the battery life is still only on the order of 7 hours with a fresh battery (might push it a bit higher if you don't use maximum volume). Anyways, the simplest thing to do is do exactly what I did: define some parameters and does run several tests to see what works best. I would be curious if NOR makes much difference or not.

He can get more battery life out of a GBM by dimming the screen, since it has the bigger power draw over the flashcart. The flashcart's power draw is only more noticeable with a half dead battery or a dying battery.

How to adjust the brightness:

Order of power drain is:
Screen
Volume
Flashcart

You just need to adjust thing accordingly like he said.

In terms of the flashcart alone, then yes I am correct. Overall, would be a no like you said.
