Ambitious modding team attempts to add online co-op to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda series, outside of a few spinoffs, is known for having some of the most renown single-player games to grace the industry. So, much like similar mods of other notable single player games existing, such as for Fallout 3 or Super Mario Sunshine, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that a team of developers have banded together to create an version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time that has online multiplayer. Given the simple name of "OoT Online", the project's goal is to allow for up to 15 players to join a server and play together. Development for OoT Online has only been active since October of last year, but it seems like the team has made good progress, recently showing off footage of two players. with both of them playing at the same time. Currently, the project is in pre-beta, and you can keep updated on it by checking out the team's Twitch channel and blog.
