I fail to see the issue of my downloading it on a computer when it can download the .NSP file much faster than a phone. There's also very few situations where you wouldn't have access to a computer but have enough space to use your phone, a USB cable, and Switch.
I know plenty of people who don't regularly use a computer, or whom only use computers on their college wifi where such downloads would be noticed. It's not an uncommon situation. Besides which, even when using a computer it's much easier to just dump files, XCI or NSP, onto a thumb drive and be done with it. It's not about time, or steps. It's about convenience factor.

Not having regular access to a computer isn't exactly normal are definitely in the minority. I feel like those people might be having other issues just by not having a computer. You cannot do everything on a phone. Not to mention that phones are becoming as expensive as computers. Plus one or two .NSP files downloaded on your college's Wi-Fi shouldn't raise any red flags. At least ones that are relatively small like updates.

I've never had any issues with OG Tinfoil 0.2.1 and the usb_install_pc Python script on my Mac. I've been meaning to give a few GUIs a try but running the Python script is simple enough.

Don't feed the troll, @Draxzelex. You're bound to get a lot of hypocrisy and non sequiturs if you acknowledge any of the shortcomings of SX OS.

As for the original question, I use Tinfoil and Fluffy, and I've never had any problems.

I use Tinfoil 0.2.1 very smooth for me. Don't need keys . Use with either Fluffy or NS USBloader works fine. Getting around 25-32 mb per sec with usb install.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

OG tinfoil i heard this name everywhere. Is this the same file in the fluffy git repo?

That was one version I used but Hippy Dave has a link of a newer build on the NS USBloader. Which I now use

OG tinfoil 0.2.1 with USB Fix 5 and Fluffy is really nice!

EDIT: The Fluffy git repos tinfoil is the same as linked by Aluminium Foil.

Cool thanks! I found the Hippy Dave link to another repo.

Another vote for tinfoil 0.2.1 with USB fix and Fluffy or NS USBLoader.

Works great even on 7.0.1

It does seem to crash if you manually install one NSP after the other.

Queuing up multiple works fine though

Tinfoil with Nut server always says i have some missing keys and for some unknown reasons, it can't detect all NSP files, now i'm still using old Tinfoil with Alluminium usb installer, 0 ISSUES

p.s. the steps to setup both Nut server or Alluminium are same, but the latter never popup any msg to tell me there are some missing keys.

To clarify, he talks about DZ Tinfoil, not proper Tinfoil.
