So have I, but then again playing online in OFW with a hacked console was never a problem its usually the opposite in CFW - clearing logs or using hacked save files.

Yeah, why is that? Should we start an XCI loader bounty? Why hasn't anyone reverse-engineered TX's XCI loader and ported it?
People already did "support" them when they bought their dongle, jig and licence?
@_hexkyz_ did (reverse enginnered it) and he stated that an open source version isn't gonna happen. You need a cert for it to work. It''s all a huge clusterfuck of patches and modules and not legal to distribute.

When they do inevitably abandon SX OS, it will likely be silent. It's counterproductive to make a declaration of abandonment, and a silent abandonment is what happened to Gateway.

I don't care if it's "legal to distribute" or not, many things for the Switch aren't.
An xci loader is purely a piracy tool (nsp's serve other purposes). Outside of tx, most devs are against piracy. Especially the atmos devs. You'd need some big cojones to publically take a high bounty for it which would put you on a platter for nintendo to take some sort of action or at the very least ruin your reputation as a dev and cause community backlash. At least that's how I see it. But hey, maybe there's some rogue dev out there in China who'll do it.
