I can't figure out how to get this working. Is it the whole Half Life folder or just the folder that says 'valve' that I put in Xash3d?
I am a newb. Sorry.

Just as it is said on the op, nothing more

Ahh okay. When I go to 'new game' and then click 'normal' or any of the other difficulty options, nothing happens. It makes the sound like I am selecting it properly, just nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you have to wait a little? I mean, it's not as fast as hell that it starts the game

try getting the game from a piracy site, I did that and it works (Blue Shift + OpFor not working without cheats yet)

You'd think people would be smart enough NOT to say this kind of thing out in the open. . .

It works fine with the original games Valve provides on Steam. Clearly, somewhere along the lines, you missed something.

It works fine with the original games Valve provides on Steam. Clearly, somewhere along the lines, you missed something.

I helped someone with the same problem, they were trying their legit copy of half-life and it wasnt working.

  • hotfix: the hecu torch grunt should be spawning now
but I still cant get the torch grunt to show up. Reloaded the map and everything. In a couple of weeks ill get my hands on another copy of opposing force, maybe try it out again then.

Yeah I believe that was me that made that earlier post, but I checked the github today and saw the changelog was different (or so I thought) so I redownloaded the version and tried it again. Still no dice, but if the dev is saying its fixed then it must be, maybe a problem on my end. I'll be able to make sure when I get some change for a steam copy of OpFor.

Someone mentioned previously that binding controls doesn't really work, so I made a simplified keyboard.cfg with explanations of what switch key shows as what keyboard key. Figured others here might also have the same problems with remapping.

Has someone been able to disable autosave?
I set the autosave files in the SAVE folder to read only, but it crash the game :/

sv_autosave 0 should do what you want.

(But I thought there was an option somewhere in the settings ?)
Yeah I tried that but autosaves are still being created.

I did the later but seemingly crash the system, btw my game creates autosave0X.png instead autosave0X.tga, but I doubt that's the problem.

Oh, indeed...

Well, time to recompile the code, adapt it to libnx2.0.0 and make some funny hacky stuff to force-disable autosaves...

EDIT : actually, the fix is extremely quick to do :

in sv_cmds.cpp, add a CVAR (sv_autosave, since I didn't see it elsewhere in the source code) .

Then just make a check in void SV_AutoSave_f( void ) if sv_autosave is enabled. Otherwise, just return the function.


Edit2 : I can't figure out how to even compile it on Windows, and I can't seem to be able to even compile the HLSDK, to make things worse. Any help ?
