For me, emunand is the only feature that makes decant the balance towards SX OS. You can always backup and restore sysnand using other CFW, but emunand saves a lot of time...

It comes down to preference really. Emunand isn't all that useful to me since I have another Switch, and I'd rather only manage a sysnand as opposed to both a sysnand and an emunand.

Let me add a question: I use atmosphere and want to launch games from a USB HD. As long as Atmosphere hasn't implemented this feature yet, I'm thinking about Sx OS.
Honestly, it doesn't look like that feature will ever be implemented on other CFWs. The reason being, the devs don't want to support xci files. And to my knowledge, launching games from a USB HDD only works with the xci format. So unless there is a major breakthrough on atmosphere, or the devs change their mind, it's probably not going to happen.

The Atmosphere devs don't have to add in the feature themselves. Plus, it seems like the ReiNX dev team are implementing SX OS features, so it wouldn't be surprising to see that feature pop up in the near future.

Problem is that in order to support XCIs (emulate them) you need some copyrighted stuff. And yea, nobody in the open source community is going to play with fire.
Installing games to HDD could be pretty easy. Just mount the HDD and play with FS patches to point to HDD instead of SD (in theory).

Well, that would certainly be cool, and would put a big monkey wrench in TX business model. Let's hope it happens.

I really like atmosphere, but here in Brazil two 128GB micro SDXC costs more than one 1TB USD HD, so it would be cheaper to use only the HD.

Just to add on to this, you don't need to use the SX OS software at all to boot. If you use the SX Gear software, this just uses a small boot.dat which just chainloads an arbitrary payload.bin. So you can just rename hekate, ReiNX, fusee-primary or whatever to payload.bin and it will just load that.

All of your installed NSPs will still work if you switch CFW. Only XCI files will no longer be usable.

Hi
How about installed games on SD Card?
I have installed xci Games. Are they going to work if i swich to atmosphere?

Is there any way to switch from sx os to atmosphere cfw? Is it worth switching?

You will not be able to install XCI on atmosphere cow (They are working on adding it someday). You will have to installed only .nsp games. You can always converted xci to nsp if you want. Very easy.

Hi,
I did now copied the new sigpatches and running atmosphere 0.8.4.
i cant see my installed games. Do i need to replace them on SD card?
Do i need to run them from Homebrew menu. I am new on using atmosphere CFW.
No. All installed games stay on your SD/NAND. All you did was to copy atmo stuff and sigpatches to SD right?
