Does it even matter if it is downloading from the CDN? What benefit does that even offer over it being a glorified GDrive? I don't see what makes it such a hot point of discussion if I'm honest.

- If they let you download directly from CDN with a banned console (atm we don´t even can do this with a legit cert without getting banned instantly) then this is a HUGE step forward for the cracking/warez szene.
- If you can download directly from CDN then you got the newest games and the newest updates Day1, which is what some people want they don´t want to wate 1/2/3 days till some ehsop game they desire is getting released. I´m not talking bout the big AAA titles i´m talking about small/unknown titles which can take days or weeks till someone decides to buy and upload them

The point is it’s illegal if it’s a gdrive and legal if it’s downloaded from Ninty’s CDN. It wouldn’t be the first app to download from Ninty’s CDN.
What benefit of the doubt? Event team stargate themself do NOT say that you download from CDN, pls read their product homepage again. It´s really only that one guy on maxconsole
It could be that for TX/Stargate the plugin is a product and it isn’t common for companies to disclose how exactly their products work. I get your other point tho.

Quote from the review:

I see no reason why the reviewer would blatantly lie. It doesn’t make sense. It would hurt his credibility and that of the site. If he’s with Xecuter/Stargate, it still wouldn’t make sense for him to lie as it would hurt the company.
Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

Wait what, downloading directly from Nintendo without owning the game is NOT illegal???

I see your point, but why would said company then allow an official tester to blow out their secret? If it´s my company secret i would have taken down that test review instantly

Go watch sthetix's review on YouTube. He said download speeds are 'painfully slow'. Took him 3.25 hours to transfer 10GB of data. :rofl2:

I'm guessing region/isp could influence download time though.

Its not hence why Freeshop was so popular as it was a legal and free alternative to piracy. However Freeshop isn't supposed to bundle the titlekeys used to decrypt the content it downloads from Nintendo's CDN as those are categorized as warez.

The app itself would be legal. What you do with it is your own choice.

Who knows? Maybe he is an independent reviewer afterall and did some research how the app works and wants to include his findings in the review. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

By the way, I just noticed there is a free trial version on stargate’s websites that supports updates and dlc only. Now anyone can snoop the download URLs without paying.

The fact of the matter is it won’t work without access to Nintendo’s CDN. How they accomplished that is for them to tell and for “us” to figure out.

apparently it does. read above. that proves my assumption is absolutely correct. they did not crack/bypass anything. they just hosted their own CDN and lied to us (once again).

"ONLY $25 DOLLARDS PER MONTH :-)" dude, 25$ MONTHLY is a LOT of money, not a "just".
Anyway, paying for pirated games which you CANNOT play online with and you could find everywhere online for free is just plain stupid.

that is the best advertisement I have read for this service. it is a service for idiots who really believe they are downloading from nintendo's servers (which still would be illegal in this case because they are stealing and not paying to the copyright holder!).

so to keep it simple: stargateNX is for complete idiots. go, buy!

lol, where do you live, m8? of course it is NOT legal when you pay 25 bucks and get a ninty flatrate! in every first world country that is considered copyright breach (PIRACY)! wow, either you live in some 3rd world country that has just introduced a law for copyright or you are just ... stupid AF!

he is trolling obviously. nobody could be that stupid!

No need for name calling dude. And stop spamming multiple posts in a row.

The app would be legal in a sense that it can be shared here and on other “clean” sites. What you do with the app is of course not legal but that’s not the app’s fault as long as it doesn’t include or bundle copyrighted material. How do you think CDN downloaders survived on Github and this site?

does not make my point invalid. they are clearly not downloading from ninty! they just can't. if you haven't lived under a rock, you could do the math yourself. it is all out there.

Well that’s what the discussion was about. Whether it downloads from Ninty’s CDN or not. As long as nobody snoops the download URLs, your opinion is nothing but worthless name calling.

This software works only if you have Sx os and with it you can download every Nintendo Switch game that exists for every region , update and dlc .
ONLY $25 DOLLARDS PER MONTH :-)

WILL YOU BUY IT ?
I don't pay for any software that costs 25 dollars a month. No way in hell. That's too expensive. $5 a month and $40 for lifetime, that I would probably spend the money on if they could guarantee that it would always be kept up.

They can't do that. It's a totally illegal service. It's like a drug dealer never expected to be busted.

Why the hate against sxos? It´s an all-in-one solution and they still support their product with frequent updates, also they had the first cfw and backup loader for the switch and they still are the only ones with a xci loader. I use it since day 1 and i see no reason to switch over to reinx, atmosphere etc. And for the sake of your argument (SX users are noobs), i bet i got more experience in modding consoles then you (started with chipping PS1 and did kinda every possible console since then including reflowing, rgh, etc)
;)
No hate, i use SX OS (SX Pro in fact) and I like it way better than Atmo. I was just stating I don't need StargateNX because I know how to get games quite easily.
Now seeing how many times friends asked me how they can get games, it is clear a lot of people who don't know will love this plug in. I am sure they will do well with noobs, and noobs also like better SX Pro, so it all makes sense.
