Let me start off by saying that i have a ps vita i have modified before and on 3.60 enso

I have another ps vita that i am trying to modify to the same thing which i already completed.
The only thing that i had not completed was the storage manager to use my sd2vita card.

Now i can't recall what the hell i did on my last vita but i know that for whatever reason ( probably because of the confusion i faced again now) i left the original memory card on there AND use my sd2vita.

On this other vita that i already modified i was trying NOT to have the ps vita memory card and just use sd2vita.

Well i followed this guide for the storage manager -
https://vita.hacks.guide/storagemgr

took off all the other lines i did not need and only kept what i needed for sd2vita ( and what pertained to my 1k vita model).
Copied everything and backed up the files it asked me to

However this is where it kind of gets contradicting..
The guide tells me to modify specific files and keeps referencing to ignore certain things about a ux0 tai folder because well i don't have it..

Well all the modifications i made were in the tai folder which is in the ur0 folder ( including the config and storage txt file).
Yet the guide asks me to copy all the contents of my ux0 folder which doesn't even contain a tai file ( remember i did this all in the ur0 folder)...

Maybe its just me but does this not confuse someone else as well? By trying to use common sense i copied what i guide asked me to butdropped the tai folder to the ux0 folder since it wasn't there. Then i put all of that into my sd2vita memory card. Well now my ps vita is stuck on the enso logo and nothing else is happening
Also the guide mentioned to go to vitashell and press select to access ftp server however there was no such option within vitashell and i could only do this through molecule

Any suggestions on how to take care of the stuck enso?

If you don't have a tai folder in ux0 just ignore that step, people used to use the tai folder in ux0 a while back but it has since then been recommended to use ur0 instead since it allows enso and plugins to work on boot even without vita mem card. If you already have tai folder in ur0, you're good to go, just set storagemgr and it's config file in tai folder and reboot.

So on the last line of the link i sent what it should have actually said is : Copy the contents of your ur0: folder to your new storage device?

My vita is currently stuck in the enso logo and has been for the past 30 minutes after i put my sd2vita card with the copied contents of the ux0 folder per the guides instructions.

I edited my config file to read at the beginning of it :

*KERNELur0:tai/storagemgr.skprx

Because i was only planing on using my sd2vita AND my ps vita is a 1k model my storage config file only reads:
GCD=ux0

But wait , as i said before the contradicting guide had me make all my changes in the ur0 folder where the tai folder was only located in, and yet the config storage file points to ux0 and NOT ur0. The files i copied ( per the guides finishing touch) were also within ux0 which never actually had a tai folder in there..

My battery should deplete in about 2 hrs ( stuck in enso logo with nothing i can do ) at which point i am not sure how i can just revert back.
I cannot pull or access data from my vita memory card for me to use it again, i need to load it into my vita and launch molecule or vitashell for me to copy or edit its contents.
Since i can't do anything within the ps vita UI because i am stuck on the enso logo not sure what i can do from here.

If i press the power button for 15 seconds i have these options:
1. restart system ( tried that twice and it did not help just gets stuck in enso logo screen)
2. rebuild database ( not sure what this one will do )
3. Format memory card ( don't want to try this as i don't want to start over)
4. Restore system ( not sure what this would restore to and or if i will have to start over)
5. Update system software ( i obviously don't want to do this because i have 3.60)

Ok so first of all leave uro/tai in ur0/tai that is where you need to put storagemgr plugin and add to config.txt as well,
The only contents you need to copy is the contents of your mem card to the sd2vita sd card, so the vita will still load up all you're downloaded games and homebrew.

Use vitashell usb to transfer mem card contents to pc and from pc to sd2vita sd card (make sure you have show hidden files and folders enabled in pc)

If you are unable to access mem card you will either need a second mem card to regain access or you can just format it and start fresh.

To get it unstuck from enso logo you just hold down power button for like 20 sec until it kicks you to recovery then reboot holding L trigger so it loads with no plugins and you should be able to access your mem card if you still have tai folder in ur0.

I already modified the config file

what threw me off is the guide at the end ONLY advised me to copy the contents in the ux0 folder ( which is all i did)

Your post mentions to '' copy contents of your memory card '' by which i am just going to assume everything?
Anyways while browsing online i managed to just press restart on the system and held on to the L button, at which point the vita booted to the UI and i slapped my sony vita memory card, went in the config text file erased what i added then deleted the storage config file as well as the skprx file.

So now i am back to square one in regards to the storage manager portion, which i will continue next week because i want to get some sleep now

The problem with them all in one guides are they're re writes of the official instructions. You're best off reading the instructions from source for each step such as directly off github.

The main issue with Vita2sd is people getting confused between the different Tai folders.

The best advice is to always delete ux0:tai and only use ur0:tai.

If a guide says to copy all of ux0 then copy all of ux0. The only time the locations instruction should be changed yourself is if anything references ux0:tai, just substitute this for ur0:tai.

Ok so you're on the right track now. When the guide says copy over ux0 it's referring to the mem card. ux0 is mem card storage, ur0 is internal storage.

And yes copy over everything in ux0(mem card storage) so that you can copy it over to your sd2vita sd card. This will make it so vitashell and all your apps and games from mem card storage will be copied over to sd2vita storage. Otherwise when sd2vita is loaded at boot you'll have no apps or games show up since it will be empty.

If you really want to make it easy you can download autoplugin and install and configure storagemgr from within the app. This is the way i configure all my vitas, it makes it super simple and fast.

Hope I've helped to clear up some of the confusion, if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask.

Here is a great video tutorial if you would still like to learn to do it manually
