Hi, can someone help me figure out if my Switch card slot is defective or I did something wrong. I was led here to CNX after giving up on my slot ever working a few weeks ago.

A littlel background, I ran the Switch clean till a 4.x.x update last year. I then ran Hekate so I could simply edit some saves.

Then I took it to the next step by first backing up the 4.x.x NAND then updating officially to 5.1. Then I backed up my NAND again and factory reset and threw on Reinx.

Everything has been fine except the card slot but I'm not sure if the slot stopped working before or after the update. I never went back to any lower update, so I'm assuming my slot is just defective as opposed to the issue with CNX and slot update warning?

Also does the Switch truly turn off in AutoRCM after 12 second of holding the power button like mentioned above? Mine still leaks battery when "off".

Hey guys,

so when using ChoiDujourNX to switch through fw's you don't burn fuses since it enables AutoRCM which prevents the nintendo bootloader to burn them when booting up the switch.

In the Tutorials section there is this huge Tutorial on how to update without burning fuses.
Do I need to go through that tut or can I just use ChoiDujourNX with AutoRCM?

Just use ChoiDujourNX with AutoRCM. The other guide is for people who, among other things, want to downgrade without a backup.

to elaborate, that thread is about the predecessor to this tool which runs off-console. it's more advanced procedurally and has more prerequisites so NX is the recommended tool if at all possible

My system is on 6.2, my emunand too
I want exfat support, so i assume the files are already there, just an activation is needed

is this possible, if not, where do i get a clean safe dump of 6.2 firmware

the answer hasn't changed since the OP
Will the Switch be able to real "downgrade" in the future?
this already does a real downgrade. if you mean bootable below fuse count, that would require a pie in the sky exploit discovery like 3ds had.

those consoles don't have physical irreversible fuses do they? afaik you'd need a better bootrom vulnerability to bypass the fuse check without RCM. I'm happy to eat my words but it's almost certainly never going to happen.

The 3DS doesn't have irreversible fuses, which is why downgrades are easy.

I will update my Switch from 5.1.0 to 6.2.0 with ChoiDujour.
Before update i will backup my NAND with Hekate Ctcaer.
I need all partition backup or just eMMC BOOT and RAW?

The eMMC raw GPP is made up of the 2 partitions, SYS and USER so if you backup eMMC raw, then you already have the partitions meaning you can just backup eMMC boot0/boot1 and raw GPP for a complete NAND backup.

another question, when i choose the firmware on ChoiDujourNX it gave me 2 options *6.1.0* or *6.1.0(exFAT)"
so since my sd card is fat32, i just choose the *6.1.0* option?

I have succesfully updated my Switch to 6.2.0, but i am on AutoRCM...
How can i disable this?
I have tried with REINX tools, without success.

The reinx toolkit has a bug if you toggled autorcm off it should be off despite saying otherwise, if it isn't actually off, use hekate

Okay, i have disabled with Hekate.
Now if i power on with jig in and vol +, power buttons and injecting with Tegra RCM GUI, just black screen, but Tegra RCM GUI says payload successfully injected.
