Team-Xecuter Presents SX OS v2.5.3

TX is already starting to roll-out fixes for those that sadly updated to v7.0 :)
SX253.jpg

Team-Xecuter has all hands on deck, after big 'N' throw them a tough one v7.0.0 was released recently, and as you must know by now, its STILL NOT RECOMMENDED TO UPDATE, but for those that didn't see the early warning signs, or had their Switch consoles automatically updated somehow, there is now light at the end of the tunnel, its not there completely yet, but the hard-working developers at Xecuter today, made the first step towards helping out those that have updated their SysNAND to v7.0.0 :)
We are receiving lots of questions regarding compatibility with the latest 7.0 firmware update.

While we are not ready yet to release this to the world we did want to put out a small bugfix release that addresses one important issue..

So here we are; SX OS v2.5.3!

What was fixed?
  • EmuNAND 6.2 booting again after updating System NAND to 7.0
Some of you who updated their System NAND to version 7.0 notified us their EmuNAND on version 6.2 would no longer boot, thus they were unable to continue using SX OS! This of course is unacceptable, so we decided to investigate and fix it. You can now enjoy the latest firmware on your System NAND again while keeping a compatible firmware in your EmuNAND partition.
That's all for today. Stay tuned!

(As usual, please remember all of TX latest releases & apps, can be found on their SX Portal website)

Not completely. First several times I was there, I loved to pick up mega-dvds packed full of bootleg software, hacking books&tools, and movies. Around late '98 or so, this ended (first, a major raid and all the shops disappeared. They started to pop back up, and another raid happened. Nothing new since). At least it's not publicly visible at the golden arcade anymore. If it's there somewhere, you really have to hunt for it...
mmm, how can i trust a guy who says he lives in japan but with murica flag.... lol joke aside, there are really no laws which regularize flash cards, they are in grey zone which it's neither legal or (without copyrighted roms included they are) illegal at same time.

You guys can all get your TX news and information right from the TX community forums where we don't exercise or tolerate hate and aggression. Any news you get here will be padded with the typical "TX Hate Train" comments and the mods/staff here don't care to do anything about it. I have been told directly by staff here that they support free speech and "don't like to be told what to do", then they delete comments/posts that go against their biased opinions that TX = Bad. You all are welcome to join the official support forums if you want a more level-headed approach to TX news and support.
Thanks right hand of GaryOPA! I totally agree, the hate is unnecessary, just because you don't have €20 to spare doesn't mean you should hate on the best for less.

  • No real 7.0.0 support, no news. Still waiting for open source community to, as always, safe the day.
you're a really sad, toxic human being.
i used to argue with you but now i just kinda feel bad for you, your life must be miserable to be so angry and hateful all the time.
you should get a hobby.

The only thing that bothers me is not adding the Support firstly, then releasing the Utility to install Games and other titles onto your Switch.
I think we can all agree that was a horrible PR move on their part. I don't hate TX or SXOS, but they seem to rush things too often and make rash decisions. But that's just my take on the matter; take with you what you please.
yeah how dare they offer us updates while they work on bigger pieces.
what a bad PR move.

you're so delusional, take your medication. or maybe its your medication making you delusional?

Take that TX fanboys, while everyone is enjoying Atmosphere with 7.0, you guys get an update that is literally an insult to anyone expecting 7.0 support
you make me sick. are you running atmo on 7.0? of course you aren't, you don't have the connections nor the knowledge.

go away.

I really dont understand all the hate for TX. They are on the forefront with a lot of their stuff (the important stuff for me anyway, like xci loading and emunand), and they implement solutions for convenience and safety for their user base. I paid about $25 7 months ago for a software license that basically makes it so i dont have to go hunting for solutions every time there is an update to Horizon OS.
If you dont like TX, or dont want to buy into their products, then wtf are you doing in this thread anyway?
Does atmosphere even have emunand or xci loading? I am honestly asking because the last time i checked was in August and Atmosphere still wasnt even released.
And im not a fan of TX either, they simply provided the solution that i required at the time that i required it, at a price that i was willing to pay.
You figured how to do all that stuff for free? Kudos to you! Bravo! and an applause!
Now get the f#c% out.

How is that being delusional when I am just concerned. As one who does software development and works with others, you don't release something that only works on a newer version of your platform; when nobody can't even get said updated platform.

If anything, go back to the drawing board for being an assuming and 'delusional' prick. You're bad at it.

2.3 Beta

  • Stability improvements
Overall stability of many components has been improved. This includes LayeredFS and USB incompatibilities. We have also fixed a bug which would prevent people from launching more than 32 titles.
ah, missed that
thank you

What's the difference between 2.5.3 stable and 2.5.3 beta seeing as they released both at the same time.

Edit: I did an MD5 check on both:

2.5.3 stable: a7f6876e61db21aafec965fcfbb4702f
2.5.3 beta: a7f6876e61db21aafec965fcfbb4702f

They are exactly the same binaries. TX doesn't care about correct stable/beta declarations of their software. It's just to shut people up from complaining.

Wow. Just finished reading the thread and although it was briefly touched upon on earlier pages I was just looking for clarification. Currently on 6.2.0 using SXOS bootloader (current version) to boot cfw from Hekate. If my sysnand is on 7.0.0 can SX bootloader launch ofw? Based on previous comments it seems people were having issues launching ofw with autorcm installed (i.e. from bootloader). So people using Emunand have to use the jig? I was thinking of possibly compiling a version of cfw (or trying to) with my own keys if the bootloader can actually launch ofw (obviously the jig would still be an option but I would much prefer using autorcm)...but from the sounds of it key derivation has yet to be implemented...just looking for confirmation :) Are emunand peeps able to launch ofw from bootloader or have you been forced to use Jig each time for cfw (emunand)?

EDIT Reading through it again - it does seem as though that is the case (though even at 9 pages this thread is difficult to parse and not for drawn out discussions about the particulars of this release)- at any rate Chinese New Year is over so TX can maybe release key derivation or even a bring your own keys method for launching OFW as I'm sure even emunand users on 7.0.0 would find convenient if they are in fact not able to launch OFW from rcm (personally I prefer using the Jig as little as possible).

I've been using TX installer and the original Tinfoil to install any NSP files but decided to give the latest V2 of Dev Menu 6.x Definitive a try, sadly when installed it's just a black empty box and error's if I try to load it

Is this because of the installer I used to install Dev Menu or some other reason ?

Running on 6.2 with latest 2.5.3

EDIT - Installed with a different title installer, an early version of Tinfoil and works fine

Why are you even using Dev menu?
