I have a few games that I want to copy over my SD card so I don't need to take my 30+ carts on a vacation for example (and perhaps modding Zelda BOTW).

My idea is using SXOS, backup my nand ofc, dump all of my games with their certificate, clear every error logs and reflash original NAND.

Anyone tried this and if yes, any risk of being banned using this method and going online ?

Just thought I'd offer my opinion and hope it helps, I was reading your post and was slightly confused by the title vs post. I have copied all my cart's (including Certs) to my SD so I could play my games like you said without having to drag all the carts around and SX was the only CFW that allows that. I found it great for that. I have heard that while playing with personal backups is less likely to get you banned there's still a risk. Also while normally CFW's work on all firmware they haven't been updated yet to be able to work on 7.0 which is needed for online ATM. Also you say re-flash your Original NAND but you never said if it's clean or not or matches your current fuse count which might be worth looking into. If you are going to use SX OS to minimize your risk your might want to look into what aerios169 said and use EmuNAND, then keep SysNAND fresh and clean and EmuNAND for your backups and if you want to mod Zelda and such. it's not a guarantee but should help minimize the risks.

It all comes down to what you want and what you have, if your NAND is clean I suggest making a full backup and waiting till CFw's are updated till they support 7.0

That is just plain wrong. Nand backup also backups saves. If you restore it, the console will be reset to the exact same state as it was in the moment of backing it up, including savegames.
I don't know why you would even restore the backup, I mean to play those games you need to start SX OS anyway... So hiding that you did anything homebrew related would probably not make much sense. Emunand also doesn't make much sense, if he's going to play online he might as well do it on sysnand. Doesn't make a difference in terms of ban risk.

I did thought about it I have a modded Switch and a virgin one, mostly used for online gaming.

What if I transfer all my cart games on the sd card using the modded switch and play them using the virgin one, someone has tried ?

Edit : Oh I need SX OS to start them then ?

You can not play your backups without cfw.

You would need to start SX OS to load the games (.xci's) as a virgin switch isn't meant to load backups, your probably best having 1 switch for online and one for playing backups and modding I'd guess

I wouldn't risk using CFW on Nintendo network even with personal backups.
No CFW has released public support for the latest FW 7.0 either.
Carry your online games with you to play in clean sysnand and if you want to play backups do it on emunand. *disclaimer* People still say that might be risky.
