I dont think anything vWii related can affect WiiU side? But from what you have said you obviously have some issue going on with Wii U.

What is your setup?
SD:\Retroarch
USB:\Retroarch
USBFAT32HDD:\Retroarch

GC\Wii Games from a Fat32 USB HDD?

Retroarch is on the SD card, and I was running GC games from the SD as well. I did try injects of gamecube games, but I was having trouble with my GC controller adapter, so went with SD instead.
The only things on my USB are Wiiu game backups and some N64 injects.

[EDIT]

Ok, everything is working again. I think it was because I switched the USB to the front of the console. Putting it in the back has fixed all my issues (except games not rotating, but I can live with that.)

anyone suggest most stable build? it seems every time i play something from a playlist, it plays fine, but next thing does something to the cfg as it shoots me to the wiiu menu, and when i try loading from channel, it just loops back to wiiu menu. only way i can load retroarch at that time is delete my cfg.

Retroarch version 1.7.6 is out, is it recommended to delete the configuration file and let RA create a new one, like in previous versions?

Edit: i checked, works fine if you delete retroarch.cfg and let the app create a new one. I didn't have to delete any remap or core settings

Hi !

For the life of me, I don't manage to launch NES games.
I tried FCEumm and NEStopia, didn't work.
Loading a core and then loading a content give me a black screen and freeze.
Using a playlist give me a messed screen (FCEumm) or the black screen (NEStopia) and freeze.
I have no idea what I do wrong, I have no idea how to fix that...
Is there something special to do for nes games ?

I can play Genesis and Snes games, it's working perfectly fine. but no NES ???

anybody have this problem guys?
You mean the frame counter?
That can be moved around, I think you need to go into Settings and it's in one of the User Interface options I believe.
Try appearance or the one above that.
I know there's an option to move around the phrases that appear with yellow letters on the bottom-left corner to other places.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
