Hi there. I have a custom firmware old 3ds XL with an 128 gb sd card full of games. The problem is that I want to copy all the system files and cfw programs to an another 64gb sd card without coping the games (the 64gb sd card will be used to only play DS games via twloader). So once I am on the computer I am not figuring out what are the sd folders containing the games, so I will be able to exclude that once.

Can you help me?

Thanks

I don't think that could work.
Then again, I thought the 3DS could at least emulate GameCube.
So I don't really know.

Copy everything except the folder called nintendo 3ds as that is the one with the games.

Similar thing, but in reverse; trying to get all my stuff on a bigger micro-SD card.
I've done this 3 times already, and all three times I lost my CFW (3DS boots up on sysNAND instead of emuNAND).
I got no clue how other people can just copy over the files and make it work because it has never worked for me.

Ah, a fellow fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
  1. Copy everything off your bigger micro-SD card onto a computer.
  2. Reformat in FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size with Windows File Explorer. If this card is bigger than 32 GB, use guiformat.
    • Optional: If the card is at minimum 128 GB, you may reformat in FAT32 + 64 KB cluster size for slight bump in loading speed.
    • Do not use 64 KB cluster size on 64 GB and smaller cards.
  3. Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw. Do not skip this step.
  4. If the card passes, delete the *.h2w test files.
    • If an error was reported, the card is either fake or faulty. A failed card must be replaced. Go back to step 1 or 2.
  5. Copy the files setup from the original SD card onto your replacement SD card.
