Nintendo announces mobile Dr. Mario game, Dr. Mario World

Nintendo has announced that a new Dr. Mario title, 'Dr. Mario World', will be coming to mobile devices later this year. This announcement comes with the news that Nintendo has established a partnership with LINE Corporation. LINE is known for publishing the game 'Cookie Run', as well as numerous mobile applications.

The application will be free-to-play, with optional in-app purchases. It is planned to release on iOS and Android in early Summer.

Wow....Ninty is really looking forward to the mobile games market.

I was going to post this in a different thread.....but it would probably disappear.

So, the above might be too ambitious, like most over-hyped, pretentious things people want to be awesome, but in reality, suck major booty.

Dr. Mario is a title I can get behind--just enough input and control.

Good work, Daisies.

I'm worried that this is going to be full of micro-transactions...
Honestly their other mobile games haven't been bad in this regard, save maybe Super Mario Run. FE Heroes and Pokemon Duel I've been able to play to contentment and get some of the best characters/Pokemon without spending a dime.

Going by the game's title, I wonder if it'll actually have a story/campaign again (like Dr. Mario 64) and if there will be other characters besides Dr. Mario and Dr. Luigi (whether they're playable or not).

This is a really good idea. Puzzle games make perfect sense on mobile, where you often just want something to play for a few minutes while you're on the bus or waiting for something/someone.
Sadly, job at like their other games, I can not play games yem bc I'm rooted. Really a shame they took that stance.
You can easily bypass root checks with Magisk.
Personally think that Tetris Attack/Panel De Pon would work better on touchscreen.
I'd play that. Generally puzzle games aren't my thing, but Tetris Attack, Puyo Puyo and Bubble Bobble are some notable exceptions to that. There are already a million Bubble Bobble clones on mobile, but last time I checked there wasn't an exact clone of Puyo Puyo or Tetris Attack.
