Hacking Can't restart the switch in FCW mode... (unknown pkg1)

Hi guys,

I keep having the same error for hours when trying to Launch CFW :

Unknown pkg1,
0'>.ion >='201812181757300/941%201812817573
Failed to launch firmware

The thing is that we were playing dragon ball fighters when a friend of mine hit the home button, a couple of seconds after, game asked me to update and he it AAAAAA a bunch of times because he was doing some combos and didn't knew about how to deal with a jailbreaked switch :cry:

I tried downloading latest versions, deleting Reinx/Athm/... and then redownloading but it still doesn't work.

I haven't got any backup... or at least, I can't restore them...

Is there a way to Delete his error or to boot my Switch like before? Thank you very much. :grog:

You’re screwed;( once you update to 7.0.0 you can’t go back.

As is said, I haven't got any backup... Isn't there another way to get my old switch back?

Isn't it possible to downgrade with a backup of someone else or something like this?

No you can't use someone elses backup, but you can do it the hard way...

Also this is why we have backups

Follow this... if you need your biskeys and tsec then skip step 2 until after you do step 8.3 then do step 2 then continue with step 8.4

I only had one backup which was on my switch's sd card and the guy tried to "help" by doing a backup... but doing it he replaced my old ones...

alright, so, you need either a) wait b) follow that tutorial I linked, word for word, if you don't you can break the console to the point of a backup won't fix it

Alrighty, if you don't have tsec or biskeys skip those steps until after step 8.3 but before step 8.4

I linked a tutorial a few posts up (old choi method) or if you have a backup + boot0/1 you just restore those

Oh cool. I will definitely look in to that. I haven’t updated to 7.0.0 but that’s nice to know.

I don't do the tutorial on how to backup but their are plenty around but basic how to restore

I’ve got a similar issue.

I accidentally updated my switch while trying to see if I could downlod the latest smash patch to get Piranha Plant.

I enabled AutoRCM, so tried rebooting that way, but got the same error.

Then I disabled it.

I can’t put it back into RCM now and I’m not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Yeah, dont update? as it was stated as a PSA.
also as stated several times, there is no "Accidentally Updated" thing.

Better word choice would be brainless button pressing. Smash wouldn't start without an update prompt and I was trying to work around that. So, I take full responsibility but how can I seriously fix this?
