I still don't get it. If you got 5.05 and all other titles on pc and your not desperate then what's your point in having a release of 6.20. Get the feeling I won't understand tbh

Consoles just really need to go away. Nintendo's approach with portability I get that. But this console chit. Take for example. MGS5, amazing game. Did very well on PC and all systems. Thankfully I still have my rgh 360 and ps3 jb systems to get around for backlog of MGS HD collection and then there's MGS: Guns of the Patriots. PS3 only. A whole emerging generation of people that probably will never be able to experience these masterpieces.
Whats the point of consoles anymore. It's not about Halo or whatever xbox has. Kids only playing Destiny, Overwatch, and Fortnite. Thats on PC. Final Fantasy was released on PC, that was Sony's market. What's the point?
Brand loyalty of Apple computers are long gone now that people only know them for telephones. When I look on Youtube those channels that showcase gaming setups, It's always PC. PC and the RGB everywhere. There's no fkn point of consoles anymore. I'm losing my patience waiting to play Detroit Becoming Human and RDR2. And I'm definately not buying a 2nd ps4 just to play those 2 games when everything else is on PC!

To be honest with how powerful smart phones are getting, dedicated handhelds would probably get phased out before consoles do, most new phones can display hdmi out, and its super easy to just pair a Bluetooth controller with them, most parents are not going to buy there kid a complicated $1000 lego set, but they will give them a free cell phone they got on there contract and helps them keep track of the kid. Don't get me wrong I feel what your saying, and we are getting there, but consoles being dedicated for gaming is just easy on the masses, even with a console designed PC all it takes is a couple of dummies buying a mouse/keyboard only game, and writing a bad review due to compatibility and ease of use to sink that ship for the mainstream, not to mention all the politics of being able to charge for online services, and control what content is being used on the device.

You ask what the point of consoles is? Let me tell you, to be a PC gamer it needs much much and much more money. I have got a PS4 Pro, and a 4K HDR 58'' TV for the money for which I could not get a high end gaming PC. And I can play for many years without any thinking. If I bought a PC for that money, first of all I would play on a small monitor from an uncomfortable chair and with a mouse and keyboard, for me this are all disadvantages. I would have to make 1000 settings to get the game going, then watch for optimizing etc. And in one year I would have to make upgrades in order to be able to play newer games.
On my console, I buy it once in 10 years, and do not have to trouble myself with that much things in order just to relax and play. I sit on my couch, press one button and my console and huge TV turn on and I start playing and relaxing.
Xbox One is a Sandboxed Microsoft Windows 10 system! The thing is literally running DirectX 11. I get what you're saying about couch gaming. No point in bringing up devices like Nvidia Shield TV that streams games throughout the house with no lag. My point is. I want play those games, and the young hackers we're depending on just don't have the passion or understanding how the world works.
Look. I did a long winded rant on piracy makes the world go around elsewhere, not bringing that here. K. so like 90's and y2k era kids were brainwashed and blasted in schools "Stranger Danger" .. everyone in the world is out to rape you. Ok. That nonsense. So last 10 years in school people brainwashed about how unethical and unresponsible it is to pirate software. It's fkn bullchit because this generation has NO PROBLEM... saying "I will NOT buy cable TV subscriptions too expensive and annoying commercials" .. download tv shows, music, and movies all day every day.. NO PROBLEM. But when it comes to games .... I swear.. when ever I hear someone even whisper ... "... support the dev..." it's like that annoying Uganda meme screaming YOU KNOW DA WEI. There's nothing else to is. Consoles simply need to go away so I can freely pirate games on the PC, cuz PC crackers and hackers are totally awesom.

So your argument, blatantly put is to be rid of consoles so that all game must be released on PC where it will be easier for you to pirate them? It's simply not good enough for you the gazillion other cracked games available on PC you just have to be able to get DBH and RDR2 free as well. You do realize that people actually paying for games is what allows the developers to keep making them for you to pirate, right? If every game was confined to one platform that was crackable, and everyone pirated it, how long would it be before good game stop being made, or the companies design there own platform specifically to combat piracy? Maybe I am missing something here that you know about where there is just multitudes of free money available to make, advertise, and distribute games like RDR2 without any sales?
yup. sound legit. Companies clearly make their money anyway since the transition last decade has been online play with friends. Best years of my Xbox 360 was definately playing Monday Night Combat or RDR1 online. And that holds true today, for some reason GTA 5 is still going strong on PC and Youtube.
Online play, people are definately going to buy something. Everything is going Steam anyway bringing up old Dosbox/Windows reports to work on modern systems anyway. My interest holds towards single player games that just get lost. Metal Gear 4: Guns of the Patriot. It's simply a long-lost artifact.
Besides, the majority of population in world China and Japan still migrate to PC and PC LAN Centers. PUGB and all those China #1 memes. thats all there was, was chinese hackers in those games like h1z1. I get that most of those people don't play video games anyway, but into perspective. China = 1.3 billion people, US = 300 million population. Forget the rest of the world. China #1 and china doesn't play consoles.

This is the reason why we can not get decent single player campaigns, and online play is made just to push microstransactions. Those game you mention were multiplatform titles, there is a reason why companies would sign exclusive rights to a platform more difficult to pirate, granted the ps3 was hackable, it still put an extra layer between piracy and mainstream users. All you would be doing is speeding up the process we are heading in to where every online store looks like the google play store, full of shovelware, and microstransactions. Good single player games would not even exist without some shitty form of advertising built in to it.

Well last time it took them over a year I believe, they arent rushing since wouldnt it suck if we couldnt ever play last of us 2 on a modded ps4? Im not even talking about piracy, you wouldnt be able to play the game since it would force an update.

Gee this party really died. Come on, some one release SOMETHING! My 5.05 is gathering dust in my wardrobe as we speak. By the time someone comes out with a new update the PS5 will be a thing and I'll wish I never purchased the 5.05!

I got a feel that when they finally release PS5 in 2020 then the hacker team might release the latest version of fully exploitable. Be patient, I guess.
