Morning everyone,

Got a quick question have installed retroarch using SXOS and copied over my roma folder which has all my Mame games I enjoy to the nintendo switch folder on my SD car and I have tried into the Retroarch directory.

But when I go to scan the directory it does not see them?

They are .zip , copied from retroarch on my Mac, when I select show hidden files it does not show as a folder, it looks like the roms folder is a file...

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

RetroArch will not add roms unless the core is already installed. use the bult in online updater to download the core/s you want to use then scan your rom folders. If your adverse to using your Switch online I believe you can download the cores directly from their site but I've not done it that way so can't help with the steps to follow.

And while an exFat card will work fine, it is advised to use fat32 as Nintendo's exFat implimentation isn't the best and can cause corruption on the sd card especially when used with homebrew.

I read elsewhere that Switch can't see files on an ExFAT volume if the archive bit is set. This apparently can be prevalent when copying files to the card using a Mac.

Maybe it is related. I plan to test this out using `mattrib` the next time I'm fiddling around with it.

I have a related issue...i am running sx os CFW and using retroarch to play gba/gb games...my 128 gb sd card is exfat but there is no issue with seeing gb games in their folder when i load content (ie: switch/roms/gb), however gba games disappear when i put them in their own "gba" folder (ie: switch/roms/gba)... they can only been detected when they are in the root roms folder (ie: switch/roms/xxx.gba)...this is just a pet peeve to me because i like to have my roms organized, anybody have any guesses as to what is going on?

Switch to FAT32.
