[UPDATE] SEGA stealthily reveals release date for the PC version of 'Yakuza Kiwami'
After Yakuza 0's PC port, we knew that Yakuza Kiwami was also heading to the platform. The game has even had a Steam page for a while now but the release date was still a mystery with only an "Available: Coming Soon" notice plastered on Steam. In a sneaky update yesterday, SEGA posted a GIF with Majima, aptly captioned "MAJIMAAAA!" as you can see below:
However, this is no simple GIF as it contains a hidden but important piece of information in the very last frame which you can see in a still image below:
So there you have it! Yakuza Kiwami will apparently land on Steam this February 19th, optimized for PCs with 4K resolutions, uncapped framerates, customisable controls and ultra-widescreen support.
If you are wondering how the Yakuza series hold up on PCs, you can check out our official review for the first title to hit Steam, Yakuza 0, below!
UPDATE:
SEGA has had it with teases and has just released a brand-new trailer for the game, confirming the February 19th release date as well as pricing information.
One of SEGA’s most beloved Japanese franchises will be launching yet another great classic on PC next month. Yakuza Kiwami brings a unique and enjoyable experience for veterans, as well as newcomers to the series. With the successful PC release of prequel Yakuza 0 in 2018, fans will soon be able to continue the popular story about Japan’s criminal underworld.
Yakuza Kiwami is now available for digital pre-order on Steam for £14.99 / $19.99 / €19.99, including a 10% discount and exclusive bonus content, like avatars, wallpapers and a digital manga.
