I could be wrong but i remember a usb loader that had support for playing wii games through sd cards though that usb loader is probably out of date now compared to usb loader gx.
Yes CFG Loader has that option as well as WiiFlow Lite but USBLoaderGX is a wonderfully programmed piece of work and super simplistic and also updated more. Thank you @Cyan and everyone else involved by the way, such an awesome piece of homebrew, truly legendary :D

At first, Thank you for USB GX Loader!!!

I issued #2360 korean.lang on Sourceforge and then fixed it. However, Not apply yet into code. When will you apply it?

And, Set language "Korean" and, When I selected game on this USB GX Loader, I can not see Korean text (Settings : "설정" / Start : "시작") into balloon of bottom as below;

I've looked over the items in korean.lang file,,, I can not do anything to solve the problem. Except for this problem, there is no problem in using Korean.

Sorry, I rarely (if not never) look at the issue tab on usbloadergx's sourceforge site.
I didn't know someone posted an updated language file for Korean. usually, it's posted on this forum.

Edit: I went to the issue tracker, searched for issue 2360 but didn't find it in the list.
it looks like someone posted it as "fixed", and assigned it to Cyan, but I didn't do any of this.
either the user created it as fixed, instead of issue. either Dimok did it (I don't know if he is still active in the project), or someone else has access to the site.

I don't understand the problem : it's with or without the updated lang file?
did you try to use the provided lang file?

If it's without it, then I'll add it on next update.
if it's with the updated lang file that you still don't have the text on buttons:

- Does the lang file contain the "Start" and "Option" strings?
- If it's empty, it should use english, or maybe the "default from the console". if not, it should use the one provided by the lang file.
Maybe there's no "default from the console" ?

Which region is your console?
do you use "system font" ?
do you use language automatic or Korean in usbloadergx?

Okay. There was a Korean.lang but it was not perfect. Therefore, I have updated the Korean.lang based on English.lang.

I would like to apply the attached Korean'lang.

You mentioned "Does the lang file contain the "Start" and "Option" strings?". "Start" string is exist, "Option" String is none. It seems to be mistaken. "Option" is wrong, "Settings" is correct.

If you look at attacheded Korea.lang, you will know as below;
1917 line : msgid "Settings"
1918 line : msgstr "설정" --> Korean
1995 line : msgid "Start"
1996 line : msgstr "시작" --> Korean

My region is Korea and use system font for Korean in USB GX Loader.

sorry, in french "settings" is also named "Options", so I forgot it was called settings.

Thank you for the updated lang file :)
with your file, the text is displayed correctly over the buttons?

Seoljeong?
sijag?
I'm trying to read, but I don't have a good dictionary to translate :P
I found one online.
it's harder to find korean learning books than Japanese.

As above mentioned When I applied my Korean.lang and others, displayed blank on the buttons until now. (Ref to the picture's orange box)

Otherwise, There is no problem in applying Korean on USB GX Loader.

Settings --> 설정 --> Seoljeong : ㅅ (S) + ㅓ (eo) + ㄹ (l) = 설 (Seol) / ㅈ (j) + ㅓ (eo) + ㅇ (ng) = 정 (jeong)
Start --> 시작 --> Sijag : ㅅ (S) + l (i) = 시 (Si) / ㅈ (j) + ㅏ (a) + ㄱ (g) = 작 (jag)

Good job!!!

You can checkt detail information as below link; :)

even google translate cannot fully translate it, are you sure it adheres to international standards? Unicode?

edit:
ok, 시작 = Start. that is good
Sijag = ㅅ (S) + l (i) = 시 (Si) / ㅈ (j) + ㅏ (a) + ㄱ (g) = 작 is Romanized 시작 ? Don't think anyone/Wii except Korean will understand that. Can ULGX display 시작 correctly?

I did something I don't quite totally understand.

I finally got around to doing a full dump of my NAND to an Emunand. It looks like all the games I had installed traveled over correctly, and I was able to download all the cover images. This much is great. I think that what I am looking for should be simple.

What I didn't know is that it copied any and all channels, including the Wii system channels (weather/store etc). How do I delete specific channels? I can't see a need for USBloaderGX channel on an Emunand within UsbloaderGX. Is there "required" reading so that I can fiddle around more?

@Cyan

Is there a newer build of GX for Wode? I aquired a Wii+Wode and the build was a earlier one (9xx) from like 9 years ago. It's purely for nostalgic purposes as I always wanted a Wode, even though I have up to date SM's on other consoles i own.

hello,

I didn't know there were a special version for wode.
I don't know how wode is working. It's connected to the disc interface, right? so you need to pick the game and launch the inserted disc?
I thought the interface was only physical (user has to push buttons to select the game to mount in the drive), but if it has a software interaction, and you says an early build worked, then it should be possible to add support.

You wouldn't have the sources for that 9xx build?
did you test the 9xx with wode? I'm curious to see how it works inside the loader to select the game. maybe I should find videos on youtube.

If you only want to hide channels, but keep them (for example hiding the miimaker, but keeping it to be able to later edit miis on your nand copy), you can use advanced filtering method:

Hi!

I installed USB Loader GX Rev 1271 with d2x v10 beta 53. Most .wbfs-files are running just fine, but whenever I try to start an .iso game, it crashes to the Wii menu upon loading. Also, there is no loading screen background (it is just black), on this intermediate screen that pops up when you select a game.

I have since read that @Cyan recommends installing d2x v10 beta 52. So I tried to install it on top of my current installation. But when I am trying to install it, I only get error "TMD Version wrong 5919 != 6175". Any ideas on what to do?

Yeah, it replaces the physical cd drive and you use Wode itself via it's own menu to select the iso to mount to the emulated drive. The SD which was included that I got, has the GX version, which basically does what the Wode menu does, so the user does not have to physically use the Wode itself to change games as the GX menu shows a list of games on the SD card and mounts them.

I can check to see if the source is there on the SD card and can do some screen shots and video possibly to show you when I get some time. Thanks.

Thanks to alexander, I got the sources for usbloadergx. actually, the woodebrew had sources for all 3 loaders. It's a version from 2009/2010, usbloadergx v1.0?
I don't know how hard it would to be merge, but I can try. the problem is that I don't have a wode myself, so I'll need someone to test and report bugs.

by looking quickly at the sources, I wonder if it supports HDD with multiples partitions, as the launch command has the partition information. based on sources, I'd say it does support ntfs, fat,wbfs, ext, hpfs? (no idea what it is)
It also has an option to "use DVDX", but DVDX is not used nor installed in softmod guides anymore. it had the AHB access feature and I guess acted as cIOS, which I suppose was used to launch burned disc ? apparently wode could still be used with game discs, I thought it completely replaced the drive interface.

edit: I see it also supports gamecube ISOs.

Edit:
just a question: what does WODE add that a simple HDD can't do ?
as I see it, it's just a HDD with a visual screen selector to mount disc. but if your hdd already have the ISO/wbfs on it, why use WODE to mount the disc and launch it instead of usbloader interface to do the same?
if the purpose is only to "mount" the selected game, and then the loader launch the mounted disc, I don't really see the purpose.
what I see so far is that the Wode can be piloted by software, and has a launch command, but why would wode do the launch itself when the loader can do it too?

I see it can also dump disc to wode's hdd, but again, what's different than dumping to hdd without wode?
the main interest is the little LCD screen, right? but if you want the loader to do the work, the LCD and user interface become useless.
Listing games in USBLoader interface, it can be done with or without wode.

I might not see the purpose of adding wode support in the loader if you can plug the hdd is USB directly and have the same features.
Is there a feature I missed?
Maybe it has some better compatibility against AntiPiracy games? (tintin)

Having a problem.

Hacked an old school White Wii (has gamecube ports) following this guide:

Modify any Wii 4.3 or below
(I did the Letterbomb trick)

Things are working, my USB drive is up and running. However, in USBLoader GX when I launch a game I get just a black screen. I had to change the drive loader to 58 to see my drive. (If I left it unplugged while GX was loading and then plugged it in it worked). Games are loading on 249.

Not sure where I went wrong. Any ideas?

If your hdd has issues being detected, and using 58 works, it's either of these (or both) :
which USB Port you are using? (use bottom port, USB Port0)
is it a flash drive or real external HDD? (don't use flash)

did the guide let you you install d2x v8 final or another version?

I dont remember being asked to install d2x or anything like that.

I'm using a 500gb external drive plugged into the port that is near the outside of the system.

I have an old drive that I used during a previous homebrewand it seems to work when plugged in and is detected everytime. The newer drive I have to wait to plug in.

Is there an easy way to get d2x on the drive?
