If that's true then why is there no official announcements about this from Nintendo themselves?
If this is true then i'm glad i got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today but i'll be sad because that means Splatoon 1 will be dead officially,
and it means those that can't afford a Switch will no longer be able to get some Turf War and Rank Mode action on.

Sorry I made a typo in my previous post, its the Wii shop that is shutting down, not the Wii U (i get confused about those systems now and then)

Currently, v7.0.0-30 is the firmware v469762078 - Now they may not roll it out until next week update cycle, in that case it will be build4 (-40) like currently for 6.2.0 that is running.
And there should not be any anti-piracy changes in this update, but it is always safe to wait before update, that is why this thread labelled as PSA -- Its better to be safe and happy instead of updating.

Your post is still nonsense. You do not know at what time Nintendo is pulling Wii stuff from the CDN (if ever - a shut down does not necessarily equal Nintendo blocking access to files accessed outside of normal channels/pulling the files from the CDN). Even if you were to actually know, your date does not line up with Nintendo's announced shut down date - it's days before. Stop making shit up.
