Yeouch!... I see, so he's one of THOSE developers.

I've had my fair share of those types during the PSP and PlayStation 3 hacking scene days. Probably, all the guy wants is probably some donation money for all his hard work and felt pressured of having to do all this for free why we just sit back and sip our tropical drinks while he did everything on his own.

He's a very talented developer/programmer, his skills are incontrovertibly excellent. But his personality is, well, acerbic.

Developers should have a good relationship with users and vice versa, not alienating either parties acerbically.

Just for an example of what he is like. When retroarch wiiu first came out the zx spectrum core would not load I simply asked him if it would be one day possible for it to run and he replied all in capital letters

(I DO NOT DO REQUESTS)

Any other dev would have said yes or no to that question or I don't know or something along those lines.
Nah man, you can't claim to know what "any other dev would have said".
That was a blunt but also very fair and honest reply.
Just drop that entitlement. He (or anyone else on the internet) has no obligation to do anything for you or even to be as polite as you'd expect.

Its a shame this project was abandonded, would love to see more done with it yet playstation classic gets a ppsspp port instead.

Is it normal for support on homebrew and emulators for wiiu to just drop without any word from anyone or at the very least a source code released so someone else can take up a project?

(I dont know if there is a source code released for the wiiu version of ppsspp).

Anyone want to make a new compatibility list ?, the old one is outdated and without many of the games that the people here have already tested, it would be interesting something like that for the Wii U PPSSPP (even though it is probably abandoned, many games that run well in the current version, although we still can not play something heavy like God of War)

It would be very good something like that for example ( https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_Wii_inject_compatibility_list )

People like to piss on Wii U and its developers, clearly.
Not sure why... If anything i'm surprised the PlayStation Vita of all things continues to get all this love apparently for a system that Sony hadn't gave two craps about since it's launch and yet while Nintendo on the other hand has given it love but yet Japanese 3rd Parties and Indie devs still didn't care.

There is still work being done, it's just not as public. The Vita was a flop.

Really?! any examples? I'm curious to know!
Off the top of my head i remember for the ps vita version of retroarch back in mid 2018 got gpu overclocking which helps with the emulation overall. sega 32x and ps1 emulators felt like they got the most improvement to me. Also something that you can use to overclock your ps vita system called LolIcon. You can use LolIcon to overclock retroarch even more for better results. Also ReF00d so you can play games that require a firmware higher than your own vita without compatibility packs. Other than that though nothing like the glory days of the psp if i remember right.
