First of all, my name is Shawn.
Please don't lock this if it doesn't explicitly violate any rules. I figure this is supposed to be "my area", so Ill just put it all into this intro, I don't have the time to learn it all and post tidbits to a dozen niche forums. I barely have enough time to balance work, video games, and human necessities!
I'd rather post a block of information and reference with a link to it. If nobody even reads it, at least I can link to it later and use it myself. My mind works better that way. Also I'm on a phone. And a time budget due to work.
I will, however, answer any questions and try to check this forum/site regularly.
Basically, I am here for two things. One seems easy enough if I had a ton of time to dig and read.
1- I want to jailbreak my personal N3DSXL dev unit. ~
I bricked a smaller dev Panda into a no-backlight boot, and can't fix it. So now I am hesitant to do anything without proper advice. The hacks3dsdev site information and resources did not work for me, even though I chose the firmware for the New3DSXL running snake and followed all directions exactly. In my dev menu it says I am running "snake prod" as the stock firmware, so I figured the snake one was it! It didn't work. Now I assume I have a fancy Developers paperweight.
Anyways, that is for later and I hope I can accomplish the jailbreak, with help.
The other thing I wanted to do was announce the fact that my hardware is going to be for sale at some point. I need money, my car is getting worse by the day! I like the idea of a user selling forum, but that is a rather limited audience isn't it? It also brings in the question, can I use eBay with it? I have to post 100 times to even see it and find out.
I prefer to use eBay. Items are guaranteed and I prefer to set charities with my sales to help with my taxes. Plus, if enough of this stuff sells for a good enough price, I can use my PayPal to buy a friggin car right from there too.
For anyone who happens to see this, considering it is in an introduction forum and not a selling forum or hardware forum, just know that I don't have the time to learn this entire site index. I am literally only here for a jailbreak and a notice that hardware some of you people may want will be going soon, and might not be available again for some time if ever.
On eBay my ID is shashca-qgkqt1g. I figure that isnt a link or anything that could be malicious, so it should be allowed for me to say, right?
Under that name, right now, is a New3DSXL that I put up for a ten day bid. Or just search for it, when I did it was the only one I saw. It is three days in now, the entire time I have been using a small portion of my few hours of off time to get that relayed to anyone here and other places I the dev scene who is interested, getting not much done as usual, and stonewalled because of my busy work life.
I guess if there is an advertisements forum, let me know. Because if $250 seems a cheap price for a N3DSXL, there it is. For whoever is lucky enough to know it is there, as I only have around a dozen watchers and under 200 views, three days in. Last time I checked, lol.
Regarding that 3DS, I haven't even looked if either or both of the screens is IPS, as I stumbled into a thread earlier that was talking about the desirability of those. I guess I tilt and look for color distortion? How much? Maybe my phone just missed the pictures or something, I need an example.
