Hacking Question How to set up with RCMloader One

Hello everyone.

I bought RCMloader ONE; I was looking at https://guide.sdsetup.com/#/sdsetup do I have to set them up? I have no idea about some of the SD card. DO I need to do that too on blank SD card or RCML One?

I'm not up to date on new things on Switch. What I'm looking for Homebrew, access the File System, Save the backup sav, able to use cheats (create cheat).

Plug your RCMLoader One into your PC and put your Kosmos payload into Atmosphere folder (it should be payload.bin).
RCMLoader One let you start in RCM and CFW without the need of a PC.
Then follow the guide you mentionned.

Okey let me break it down easy for you.

For your SDCard:
1) Install the standard kosmos package, it's nice and got lot of goodies. This is on your SD Card.
2) Download SXOS from TX site, it's called boot.dat (Download the one for SX Pro). Put it in the root of your SD Card.

Now for your RCMLoader One:
1) Download ReiNX, Download Hekate 4.6 (at the moment of this writing), Download SXOS Gear.
2) Copy each over to their respective folder. ReiNX to REINX, Hekate to ATMOSPHERE_HEKATE, Sxos Gear to SXOS.
3) Delete all the payload.bin in each folder, since they're out of date.
4) Rename every payload you downloaded to payload.bin in each respective folder.

Final step:
1) ENJOY!

I believe that I did put new payload (replaced with new release 8.0.2)

Yes, I put files in the SD card & RCMLoader. But how can you boot in Hekate or Homebew Menu

Shut down your Switch. Plug in your RCMLoader and the JIG onto the right joycon rail.
Hold VOLUME PLUS (+) and push POWER. Hold volume plus until you see a picture.
When in the switch homemenu, go to album.

I have a question about updating the RCMLoader firmware...On the xkit website, it says (after copying the firmware update file onto RCMLoader through PC) to un-plug and then re-plug the MicroUSB cable for the upgrade to begin...I assume this means to eject and reattach the RCMLoader to PC and not just directly un-plugging it from PC right?

Directly unplugging for 3 seconds then plug in again.

So not selecting "ejecting USB device" first before unplugging from PC? Wouldn't that be considered unsafe practice since RCMLoader acts like an USB drive?

Thanks for the effort but it doesn't show anything about upgrading the RCMLoader's firmware (and it's in Spanish which I don't understand.)

I know how to access RCM, SX OS and Reinx are fine. Just that Atmosphere doesn't work with RCMloader 1.
I tried Hekate to Launch CFW before and it didn't work.
However, https://github.com/AtlasNX/Kosmos/releases works now

How can I find a way to install SXOS and dualboot without upgrading my firmware?

So I'm curious, does this work with fusee_primary.bin? Can I boot directly into AMS using one of the USER folders?

if you have the sxos payload you can boot into that. if you use emummc/emunand you will want to edit the emummc.ini inside the emuMMC folder on sd root.
contents between quotes. You will also rename the folder inside the emuMMC folder to Emutendo.

Not if you got ReiNX as well. Since they use the same Sept folder name.
But yes, else it should work fine!

Hello,

I just created a thread called "RCMLoader One + SX OS" because i havn't managed to use sx os + rcmloader (nor athmosphere or reinx actually...).

All the links in this thread are dead... any chance you have others to share? What files are really required on the sd card for atmosphere, reinx and/or sxos please?
