bought an acekard2i and a dsi that's on 1.4.1
tried a few things.... keep getting an error has occurred.. the acekard shows up on the home screen but yeah.
(ps. i have no clue about this card until right now)
Here are a few things to do before proceeding:
Option #1:
Clean the contacts of both the console and the flashcart, it may be able to read the cartridge but sometimes that's about as far as it goes if it's slightly dirty.
Option #2:
Update the Acekard 2i firmware. In order to do so you need to use one of the following devices:
- Nintendo DS
- Nintendo DS Lite
- Nintendo DSi (one that the Acekard 2i can work on.)
- Nintendo 3DS (one that the Acekard 2i can work on, however your chances of finding a 3DS with a firmware lower than 4.3.0 is near impossible, your next solution is custom firmware (CFW), this will allow you to use the flashcart on the console because CFW unblocks flashcarts.)

Option #3:
Buy a Nintendo DS or DS Lite. It's honestly a great idea to have one of these on hand when you need to update the firmware of a flashcart, but they can also be used to play your flashcarts too.
Option #4:
Buy a new flashcart and keep the Acekard 2i as a keepsake or collectors item. This option is probably the option you don't want but sometimes it's needed if you don't have the tools to get it working in general. An
R4i Gold 3DS Plus is a really nice flashcart and would benefit you just about the same as the Acekard 2i would if not better due to game compatibility and a better cheat code handler.
