Well, I'm still waiting for someone to pick up Ao Evo. The current Ao PC translation edited by flame f**ks up a lot of the voiced lines as the voice sample triggers are somehow tied to the scrip files. This shouldn't be the case with the Vita ports. I just don't want to play the game if only 20% of the voiced lines play. The voice acting is the reason why I think the Sora Evo games were a huge upgrade from the PC versions and so are the Crossbell Evo versions.

I also bought a ridiculously expensive HDMI cable with an internal 1080p/4K upscaler chip to add anti aliasing to my PSTV gaming experience. Mostly for the Kiseki Evo ports, I'm not gonna lie.
How's the translation itself? I heard it was better than the current zero one but I don't know by what margin.

It's about the same quality.

Yeah, though I heard it's still better than the Zero leak, especially the NPCs. I just want to have voice over. XD
You might be able to use text hook or Capture2Text and use Microsoft TTS to read it out loud.

Can anyone who finished this game using this patch can comment on the quality of the localization?

Thanks!

It's slightly better than the PC/PSP translation since it is a newer revision of the script. But not by much. NPCs still talk like they had a stroke and overall it's only enough to understand what they are talking about. I'd play the Evo version if you can't wait for the Geofront patch (which is supposedly going to be released this summer) since Evo has some graphical improvements like shaders and lighting not present in the PC version as well as fully animated character portraits (like Persona 5). I'm using a quite expensive upscaler HDMI cable (which adds some sort of Anti Aliasing) on my PSTV and the game looks breathtaking on my 42" 1080p TV.

I'm not proud of my first post being begging but I'm gonna beg anyway...
Due to my being stupid I lost my save file around chapter 2 (day 2), if anyone has a back up save around that part, would you please share your ave with me?

Game's too slow paced for me to start over but too good to let go and move on <_<;

Just so I don't feel like a parasite; I can somewhat speak Japanese, but cannot translate at any decent level, so if there's any way I can help with proofreading or these things in general, feel free to send me a PM/let me know.

Another request for a save:

Any chance that someone here has a Zero Evo (Vita) save towards the end of the prologue or early in chapter 1 (or I’ll even take chapter 2 as the poster above is asking for)?

I finally got impatient waiting for the 3rd Evo Vita translation patch so I jumped into Zero. I’m having a blast (even more than I expected) and already played three hours. However, I’ve run into the issue with saves getting erased. After some research, I see it is a known issue with Henkaku, and there is a fix. Unfortunately, my entire save has erased and the game gives me an error when I try to create a new save.

The only way to proceed is to close the game, do the fix, and start again. I’d rather not redo the first three hours of the game as my time is fairly limited. Anyone happen to have a save game in or near the end of the Prologue chapter? I just did the very first monster mission after exploring Crossbell. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, thanks a ton for this patch, it feels like a dream being able to play this game in English. I already ordered a copy of Ao no Kiseki Evo, so hopefully someone gets on that sooner rather than later.

Not sure if you’re playing on PC or Vita, but in my search for a save for the Vita version (see above) I came across a collection of saves for the PC version. I apparently can’t post hyperlinks, but the collection was posted in the Falcom Reddit under the title: “Looking for Zero no Kiseki - Chapter 3 or 4 save file for PC version.”

Hi, thanks for this! I was looking for Vita version but PC version works too.
I'll ask on Falcom's subreddit for vita saves just in case though

Sure.
My save ended up not being totally lost after all, it just didn’t show up until after I restarted the game for some reason. I probably lost about 30 minutes of play time in all. Hopefully I’ve remedied the save bug now, but we’ll see how it goes.

If you don’t end up finding any saves elsewhere, I’ll likely be up to chapter 2 in a few days so I may be able to get back to you if you can wait it out.

Yes, I can absolutely wait, many thanks!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Since I can't edit (sorry for double posting) I wanted to warn everyone about a glitched request in chapter 2/day 2 that caused the freeze.

It was some fish gathering quest for the asian restauraunt in the eastern street. After talking to the client there I went to talk to some of the merchants and there was an option to "hand over fish" or something like that. Selecting it froze the game (music was still going and npcs still moved, game just didn't read any input)

I don't know if it's a known issue but thought I'd point it out, could be a poorly patched copy rather than an issue with the patch itself.

Also one of the requests for ultimate bread between the two bakery workers (oscar and some girl i think) is untranslated.

Edit: apparently i can edit but it was hidden under message tools. I see now that the extra vita quests are still untranslated so never mind the last part

So the difference between this, and the pc ver Geofront is working on. Is that this isn't in the pc ver?

"1.Extra Sub-Quest for vita
2.Minigames
"

Since I read that their translation is already 80 % done.

I just finished this game with the patch. I don’t often have the drive or focus to complete lengthy RPGs, but I put almost exactly sixty hours into this one over the course of about a month, and couldn’t put it down. Seriously, I was that jerk walking around holding a Vita to just make a bit more progress on my walk from the subway to work.

The translation is not great, but it rarely leaves you completely baffled as to meaning (though it does on occasion, especially when you are asked to make detective decisions). It would be extremely disappointing if it was an official localization, but being able to play through the game at all felt great. I may play through again when the other patch comes out, assuming it is ported to the Vita version—playing a game like Zero sitting in front of a computer would be impossible for me—but as it is, I am very satisfied with the experience (and I say that having played the XSEED translations of Trails in the Sky FC and SC, and part of 3rd).

Now I really want to immediately jump into Ao no Kiseki. I own the Evo version, so it is pretty disappointing that there are currently no plans to patch that one (the PC version is a definite no-go for me). I also own the PSP version, so now I need to decide whether to play that, or play Trails 3rd Evo with the recently released English patch (which I was awaiting when I finally caved in and played Zero Evo instead). I’ve also had a hankering to go back and finally play the Gagharv trilogy...

No matter, I’m totally immersed in this series right now, and it feels great to finally have all the games (except Dragon Slayer: Legend of Heroes 2 and Sen no Kiseki 4) accessible. Thanks to everyone involved with this patch—its existence led to another sale of the game for Falcom (actually three sales: I bought Zero Evo, Ao Evo with the hope of an eventual port of the translation, and Ao on PSP so I could play it now). Just a couple years ago I thought I’d never be able to play either of the games, so to have one of them now under my belt and another ready to play is amazing. Also, though I’ve owned the Cold Steel games since day one on Vita, I’ve held off on playing them because I hadn’t finished Trails 3rd and these two. Hopefully I can now get caught up to speed and be ready to play Cold Steel 3 when it comes out this fall.
