Hacking Question Unlinking an account from my Switch with a twist.

So I've had my Switch for a while now, and never thought more about the account that the seller I bought it from had linked to the Switch. Now, it has been a year since I bought the Switch, and it is getting annoying having to select my user when starting a game each time. I do have a full NAND backup before I touched it on Firmware 2.3, but I have no idea if that is gonna help me in this. Is there some way to unlink the account?

Selecting an user before starting a game that is normal if you have two or more accounts on it, that is just how the switch is. If you burned your fuse you can't go back to 2.3.0

Well, the other user is the last owner of the Switch, I have no use for this user, and would want to unlink it. I have not burned any fuses, I use AutoRCM and have updated with Choir

In system setting, you can go to user setting and pick the user you want to delete.

It needs to unlink the account to this, and gives me an error. Is that due to being on 5.1 and not 6.2?

I assume it has to do with Nintendo online subscription, from 9/18/18 people were not allow to unlink accounts.

Call Nintendo and tell them you dont have internet at your house. They'll unlink it for you

No idea, never used Devmenu.. Anyone that knows?

EDIT: Also, would a possible method be to save my saves, completely reset the Switch (Initialize console) and then restore the saves? Would that get rid of the account, and can I initialize the console on firmware 5.1 without internet?

Unfortunately, if the account has a NA linked, DevMenu doesn't give you the option to delete an account

So there is no way to get rid of it? Even with a complete reset?

That guy will eventually get his NNID banned for using a modded switch despite selling it since he left his account linked if you take it online.

How can you get a NNID banned on Switch? NNID aren't even used on Switch, they are exclusive to Wii U and 3DS

Yes you will. The users will disappear from the console. Regarding online, I believe you can't link the console before unlinking the other user first.
