Hi,
I ordered Nintendo switch from ebay some time ago that wouldn't turn on. Yeasterday I tried to fix it with my father. We were able to get it turn on and got the blue screen of death. After some research we were able to get the switch into RCM successfully. But then we hit a wall. The micro sd readers connector has 2 missing pins. I couldn't find any from online so I wanted to ask if anyone here knows the name of the component. Or site where they sell them.

Motherboard was also missing one capasitor but we replaced it with random one, it would also help if somebody knows it's vallues.

Pink circles mark the capasitor and connector.
Same components in my switch motherboard in the other image.

Thank you and sorry my bad english!

you could try digkey

if you god at soldering get some thin enamel wire and connect jumper wires for those 2 points to the reader
that will work quite easily.

I found one pretty similar from digikey and try to order both sides. Not sure if they fit, but I'll try.

I can´t find the thread where @mattytrog postet a image with soldering points for the sd connector.
but I know it is somewhere here!

edit: found it

And if something goes wrong, I'll try this.

Thank you both, you helped a lot!

Good luck in finding one of those BTB connectors. I looked and looked. Through every fische and schematic I could find. Do not order the Molex ones. They are wrong.

Thanks! Yup, I did the same but couldn't find the right one. I noticed that the microSD side is missing pin too, so I decided to replace both connectors so it shouldn't matter so much if they are little wider than the original ones, as long as pitch and pin number is the same.

Very good.

Just watch the row pitch. The row pitch is wider on alot of them. Will make it difficult to solder as one row of pins won`t be on the pads. Offset the connector both sides maybe so both sides are half-on, half off. Hope I understandable.

Good luck!

I understand what you mean. I'm not sure but it may be possible to scratch the pcb so I can make the pads larger or something if it is difficult.

Thank you!

Same problem here !! Any update?I have like 3 pins broken on the btb connector and there's a guy who can fix it for $70. I can't afford that. I bought my console on ebay for $130 it was the most cheaper option that I found and I can't spend more in another motherboard because I didn't found the name of that connector to buy it.

Can someone post something on how the best way to repair this issue or if it possible to load cfw through USB I have auto rcm mode but the situation of two pins missing is my issue.

Hello Ararage,
I looked at your post and I have seen that you soldered two plots on your motherboard (the ones on the bottom left corner of the PCB).
Is it a soldering wire to start the RCM mode ?
On my side, I had an issue posing a modchip into my switch... I burnt accidentally the track connected to the molex joy con connector... the one marked by an arrow on your post.
I opened a thread, title "modchip installation failed..."
If you have any recommendation for me on how to repair my switch, I thank you in advance.
