Hmmm, try finding a code.bin for Pokemon S/M on thatChaosSite, that will definitely fix your issue. Not to mention, you will be able to find without the outlines :)
It seems I can't find this site, where else would I find the code.bin and what would I do with it? Lol, sorry for the repeating questions.

Maybe at thatIsoSite. After you find it, rename it to code.bin, and put it where your IPS file was...
P.S. Google is your friend :)

I successfully found the code.ips and renamed it and I put it in my sd card and turned game patching on. It worked! Finally... Anyway thank you very much for your help as it has helped me do everything that I have needed.

I finally got my 64gb sdxc card through the mail, modded the 3ds (11.2) following the 3dsguide tutorial, the only thing i did different was to nand backup before updating to 11.5 instead of after updating.

Everything works fine, i want to thank you all here for your information and help, such a great forum, and 3dsguide is excellent.

i did three nand backup dumps with godmode9 and crc checked them but i found them to all be different crc`s/md5`s which confused me a bit, i guess something about the firmware changes between boots?.

Hi
I have an old stock firmware (9.5.0-23E) on my New 3DS XL.
The 3DS hasn't been played much since I finished "Zelda: Link Between Worlds" a few years ago.
I have read the 3DS.guide but like the OP was, I am hesitant to run a system update (which is now 11.9?) AFTER Soundhax and Homebrew Launcher.

My main goal from hacking my 3DS would be to play a tonne of games from the SD card (3DS, DS, SNES, Master System, arcade, etc).
I also want to play games like Metroid that require a higher firmware than 9.5.
Playing online is a low priority for me but it would be nice to play Street Fighter online.

Can/Should I skip the system update?

Could I go up to a higher but older firmware like 11.4 somehow?

Thanks

There is absolutely no reason not to update to latest firmware as pretty much all homebrew works on it and the latest firmware can be hacked for free. Everything you want to do works fine on the latest version also.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. Sounds good.

I read in some other threads that some things don't work after 11.8 but I guess that's been sorted out by now?

*Opening post was here, thanks for quoting it*[/B][/B]

That's for a certain app that allowed piracy, and that's server-side, meaning it doesn't matter what firmware you're on.
