Are you sure you have WiFi enabled? After you boot or wake up from standby it takes some seconds until your WiFi turns on. Wait for the icon to turn white until you launch the hbmenu and the app.

When I hit connect on my PC it says it has connected to my switch's IP and tells me how strong the signal is but then disconnects about 10 seconds later without anything happening on my switch. This happens whether or not I am using the beta build.
edit: I'm dumb and didn't let my switch connect to the internet before launching the app

You can disable automatic sleep mode in the Switch's system settings.

This software allow to assign your controller button to control mouse and keyboard on Windows
Here I made a profile for controlling Media Player Classic for example

Left Joycon : Mouse
Right Click and Left Click with L and R

A = Play/Pause
B = Just nothing
X = Just nothing
Y = Just nothing

- = Just nothing
+ = Go Fullscreen

L3 = CTRL+ALT+X (Key combination because i'm using a keyboard locker software, this is for disabling it at the end of my movie)
R3 = Nothing

yeah that's just us forgetting to update the version number in the pc app.

Have you had any trouble then with the latest nightly? I know .2 release is good.

Did you use the ScpDriverInstaller.exe program and click Uninstall Driver, then reboot? That worked for me.

how to re initiate the joycons to show up as a xbox360 controller,

I've been using this and noticed a few things:

1. The 0.2 release still shows "0.1" in the title of the PC app.
2. There's incredible amounts of artefacting, to the point of being unplayable. Is this a Quality setting that needs to be toyed with? I've already set in-game and computer resolution to 720p. I'm using my 5G network if that makes a difference.

Not sure what you're referring to. Why would 5G be bad? I assumed the increased bandwith would be good when doing 50mbits.
