!!! Happy New Xecuter Year SX 2019 !!!
SXOS251.jpg

Team-Xecuter is off to a fresh start with the New Year 2019, first they upgraded their outdated forums and launched their brand-new TX Community to give better customer support for their growing line-up of products, and now they cranked out a new SX OS v2.5.1 BETA for all those to enjoy with much needed 'bug fixes' and improved LAN-Play support, and they even had time to throw in new 'SX OS Feature' for everyone to enjoy, so check it out below, and start out the New Year Switch Happy! :)
Happy New Year, everybody!

We hope you've all had a smooth transition into the year 2019. Your friends from Team-Xecuter would like to kick off the new year with a small update to SX OS.

Lets waste no time and see what's new in 2.5.1:

  • LayeredFS compatibility fixes
It appears we introduced a regression in "LayeredFS" support in 2.5.0. This affected certain game mods like fan translations. This has been tracked down and fixed!
  • Improved Internet Local Wireless Play
Numerous stability fixes and improvements have been made to the Internet Local Wireless Play functionality.
  • Fixed false positive 'corrupted' message for installer
The Switch software management menu has an option for verifying the integrity of installed titles. When using this functionality with titles that have been installed through our NSP installer you would always get a message saying the title data is corrupt. This was mostly a false positive as the installed titles worked fine.. but we've hunted down the root cause of this and fixed this cosmetic shortcoming for all new installs!
  • Add support for installing XCI
You read it right, as of now you can also *install* titles that come in XCI format, just as you would be able to do for any content that comes in NSP format. This is useful for people who would like to access all of their games from the home menu screen instead of going through our menu. Of course you can still play XCI titles without installing as well!
That's it for today. The year is still young. Hang in there to see what we are cooking up in our labs!
(As usual, please remember all of TX latest releases & apps, can be found on their SX Portal website)

If I play in EmuNAND mode and use an actual/official game cartridge (e.g. smash bros ultimate) will I get banned? is there a risk?

It might be only Nintendo will have exact answers for your questions. Emunand for offline mode. If you have legit games, play them on sysnand for online purpose.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

What settings do you use?

Mine: FAT32 micro SD, non hidden 6.2 emunand on SD and the xci was on the micro SD.

exFAT, hidden 6.2 emunand, xci on the root.

On 2.5 I couldn't use the delete function of Goldleaf and thinfoil didn't work at all. Can anybody tell me if this is working on 2.5.1 now?

So has anyone tried the XCI installing yet?

I've installed xci to the space emunand was taking up - so it doesn't waste 32GB of space as games are in that now. Also installed to sd card. Sometimes after installing the game - the switch crashes, but once you reboot - it's OK and the games work fine.

The delete function from Goldleaf or sx installer didn’t work for me either the only way I could delete nsp was exiting out of Goldleaf go back in and then it would delete but no need anymore sx menu installer now installs a fully nsp without errors and deletes so a great improvement just use that from now on no need for any installers anymore.

Not even gonna have to bet where they ahem "took inspiration" from with this, there's only one other XCI installer out there and it's 02xci. (Goldleaf doesn't have XCI, 02xci forked tinfoil and DZ has neither.)

Also, pretty sure you need some console keys to do this stuff, so I wonder how those are gained since you need TSEC/fuses for those keys I'm pretty sure.

That said, neato feature but if it is what I think it is it's gonna be super duper buggy.

Except TX is not modifying the NCAs at all like all the existing tools. Can't steal what does not exist.

Could you please share how you were able to do it? I'm on 64gb card and would love to have the extra space..

I created a 5GB partition using the first method TX gave us(part of sysnand) then migrated it to SD as a separate file using the second method they gave us. I have not figured out a way to get it as a hidden partition yet though, tbh I haven't looked into it much either.Probably won't even try

Is the stable version abandoned? BETA got multiple updates ever since 6.2 but stable version left alone. Some people only use firmware version that is stable and try to avoid BETA.

The current Beta version is stable. Just use it.

There was only one version which indeed had bugs and should not have been released and this is 2.0 (the version they actually started to release Beta versions).

Still their “Beta” CFW branch is way more stable than 90% of others cfws
More stable then who ? Since most and if not all bug fixes are taken from Atmosphere and others since they mostly do the fixing and others impliment their fixes as does SXOS. This is not to start a flame wars since they have been doing good stuff for the community lately but saying stuff like ur doing is just blatantly false
