Goldleaf

Goldleaf is a multipurpose homebrew tool for Nintendo Switch!

Goldleaf.1.jpg

Similar to the well-known 3DS homebrew FBI, Goldleaf serves as a file browser/manager/editor, title manager, user account manager... and more!

Let Goldleaf make your life easier while dealing with more or less technical Nintendo Switch stuff!

Likely stolen from xecuter...... ohh wait no it's the trolls that claim xecuter stole off other tho they did it first.

Xecuter title manager looks miles better and user friendly than this.

But hey ho those that don't want to pay to not buy games are slowly getting nice features PMSL.

How can this be stolen from tx if tx don't have the sources available?

What proofs do you have?

And talk by your self, I prefer to use opensource software to dump and install my payeds games. All the useful features as been added first in the open source CFWs (exefs redirection, layeredfs, ips patches, prodinfo protection, kips loader etc)

No, reverse engineering is not stealing. That is supported by case law.

It would also be grossly stupid to imply thats what happened. It would take 10x more time to RE than it would for a fresh ground write up. And why would the guy who has actively been developing the project that sx installer is based off of need to steal from the project that he himself developed? Its so ass-backwards you would have to be functionally retarded to claim thats what occoured.

All I see going on here is ignorant people making ignorant claims. Not you a9, but mr retroboy here. He clearly doesn't understand how this works and is espouting false claims that are logically refutable if you have a basic understanding of how software programming works.

Also, RE'ing doesn't give you source to steal. It just allows you to understand whats going on so that you can re-write your own code to mimmick what you've discovered in RE.

Anyone who's curious and really wants to be educated on this should actually watch some videos on it, or learn how to program.

No using arguing with him. We know who the respected homebrew developers in the community are. We know who steals source code. We know who trys to pay developers of open source homebrew to go closed source.

How do you delete/reset update data like devmenu does ? I accidentally updated a game that requires an higher firmware to play and now I'm stuck with it even if I delete the update data the system will always remember that a new version of the game is available and not let you play.

Feel free to continue using a paid service. Others will enjoy not having to pay for homebrew, as it should be.

isn't it wonderful there is choice? you can have little to no technical experience and use the paid easy to use (perfect for parents to give to their kids), or you can spend lots of time reading, learning and possibly bricking your system using free homebrew products.

actually.. free homebrew.. as it should be.. there are lots of PC games where mods and user created content is sold.. so no, not all homebrew is free.

....? Spend lots of time reading? At most it's an hour, and It's literally the same process as SXOS, you extract the contents of the Kosmos (or even just regular untouched Atmosphere) folder to the SD card and and load it with Hekate or fusee-primary. (For reference SXOS has you put that .bin on the root of the SD card and also run a payload, same shit different files)

Also, this isn't the point of this thread, if you want to go shill SXOS do it in it's own thread, not one completely unrelated to it.

there are still a large percentage of Switch hackers who cannot follow directions / do not have the technical ability to do so.. look at every single FAQ for every single console which has been hacked in history. That is why there is always a ''market'' for easy to use products OR someone who has the know how and time to do the work for you. Which always amuses me when people comment about not making money from open source products - there are lots of people making money from someone else's open source work.. the people charging to mod consoles.. which in turn they usually sell copies of software for the modded console as well.

not shilling and i didn't mention SX OS by name at all. My comment was in reply to iriez posting how good it was to have choices - whether free or as a paid service.

As for reverse engineering not being illegal, not always true - there are plenty of patents which lock down intellectual property (whether code, medical or chemical structure) so you cannot reverse engineer them and then release you clone to the free or commercial market.

But why even the talk of reverse engineering? This is code - you just disassemble it or walk through the original code with a monitor and observe what it does - whether it is closed source or not.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Have you thought about changing the name of this app to SX Installer?

have you thought about shit stirring any harder?

Can anyone explain to me step by step how to install themes with gold leaf. It mentions romfs but I'm not sure how to extract that or get it.
