I've got mine installed in this configuration what should i do? Also if anyone wasn't aware you can use your switch as a dongle for other switches with a c to c cable

It may not work as the data lines are used when the console is charging. If you try to boot with a modchip while the charger is plugged in it doesn't work so i doubt the dock will
You can either update your wiring to one of the newer methods, or use the Legacy3 version in your case.

And indeed, yes. You can use a C-C cable back to back to push a payload to another switch.

just reading about the non legacy methods. Am i correct in that the trinket will always activate on boot so I cant choose between a normal boot and rcm boot?
No sir. Incorrect.

There are 2 versions of a modified UF2 bootloader which I`ve called SWITCHBOOT.

These are named Joycon and BOTH.

Joycon is the one you use for dual-boot. Imagine Switch is turned off... Press power on, results in normal boot. As normal stock console. If you want a CFW boot, you just hold vol+ while pressing power. Let go, CFW boots. Simple.

BOTH is to boot into CFW every time. Just like autoRCM. However, you can still have a normal boot by holding RESET on your modchip while pressing power.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You can use the BOTH file to save fuses. It works every time. However, if you want to bypass this for a normal boot, your fuses will be burned as expected.

Are you 100% positive that the data lines are used when charging, or are the tx rx etc used?

After looking at those picture i'm almost sure I can install that into my switch. Now those circle shapes and the bat/4 rectangle shape...is that the size of the pads u have to solder to? I was able to solder my joycon that had A kinda big test pad thing for the rcm as it was an alternate point. It was big/easy to solder to. Now I got some flux and all the right stuff I might do this. The only one that looks tough is the 4 line.

Don`t fit your chip this way. It is outdated now. It will run your battery down

@mattytrog mate, did you noticed the on the rcmx86 github they added your uf2 loader as default one?
have a look
https://github.com/euclala/RCM-X86

the page is missing a lot of info/schemes, but at least they give you credit for your astonish work :)
I didn`t know that!

But I`ve had a few messages from the RCMX86 guys. They seem a nice bunch.

Glad they are finding it useful!

I think that is EXACTLY what is happening. We wait and see. I`d only have one for UF2 creation purposes because I`ve literally got a drawer full of SAMD chips and boards. I think we are getting there now though. In the source code, it is easy to change pin numbers, LED flash times, everything.

I am testing with a bare crystal-less SAMD on a dev board. So if anything can help that, then thats got to be good :)
