Hi! Im on 5.1 right now (exfat), are there clear benefits associated with updating to 6.2?
I run a fairly simple setup (RCM/ReiNX/Tinfoil to instal NSPs/Airplane mode cuz i dont really need connectivity whatsoever lol) were there any "big" releases in the scene that i could be missing and would increase my console usage/enjoyment? Or do you reckon i should be keep my setup as it is right now?
There's no reason to update but if you use your switch as you say there's no harm in updating either. Sooner or later games will require atleast 6.2

Hello,
I have a Switch on 6.2.0 using ChoiDuJour with AutoRCM enabled and running SXOS on my SysNand (in airplane mode since day 1).
I would like to install SX's EmuNand on my SD card, and then get a clean SysNand state, but I wanted to make sure that I don't forget a step:

1) Backup current nand (in case there's any problem)
2) Backup games saves (by using EdiZon)
3) Install EmuNand to the SD card via SXOS (tutorial)
4) Boot into Hekate and restore my Switch's original nand (BOOT0/1 and GPP)
5) Boot into SysNand, make sure that everything works, update to latest firmware
6) Boot into EmuNand, make sure that everything works, restore games saves (by using EdiZon)

Can anyone confirm that these steps are correct and I didn't forget something?
Thanks!

Looks like the Splatoon 2 bundle is not patched, but they're selling at a premium. Is there another known bundle that is guaranteed to be unpatched? I know about the serial number ranges, but a known bundle would be easier to locate. Anyone?

Yes, thank you cyndor. I've reviewed the spreadsheet already. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not familiar with which bundles were released before July. Merry Christmas :)

Off the top of my head:mario odyssey, mario kart. I guess look to see when a game released as that is when it probably came out in the bundle?

I looked at it again and it clearly states which bundle is patched(in red) and it looks like a mario kart bundle was patched so the only way to really be sure is the serial number

Noob here. I hacked my switch yesterday. Backed up my clean nand. Installed atmosphere on my 6.2.0 switch, . Everything seems to be working well. Been on airplane mode. But a few of my nsp games won't play. When I try to launch them I get a message saying that I need the software.

My question is what happens if I try using tinfoil to install the nsp again? Does it write over the original attempt, or does it end up making a second install? Or should I try uninstalling the nsp before retrying? Also how do I uninstall nsps? What tools allow me to do that?

What CFW are you using?
If the NAND you backed up is clean and made before hacking, you should restore it before you make the EmuNAND partition. If there is any save data if you want to keep, you should back it up now so you can inject it into the EmuNAND partition later. Then just install the EmuNAND to wherever you want. There is no "best" EmuNAND solution as all 3 have their own pros and cons.

exFAT can and will corrupt, this is not up for debate. Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it will. Now that doesn't mean corruption is the end of the world as a simple format will fix that. But if you have a lot of stuff on your SD card, then its not going to be so simple. Personally FAT32 is objectively better and since you have to patch exFAT onto every firmware you install, exFAT can be quite an inconvenience.

There's really no reason to buy more than one SX Pro because although the license is embedded into the dongle, it can still send the payload for any console running SX OS. Your best bet is to simply buy a license for the second console. Also you don't "install" SX OS :P
Is your SD card formatted to exFAT?
There is no ETA on when those will become available nor what is and isn't possible with the unreleased exploit. You're honestly better off either returning that console for an unpatched unit or buying a second one that is unpatched, preferably used.
I am using both reinx and atmosphere. When I inject either of the the screen flashes on for 1 sec and then turns black and then I have to unplug the cable , plug it again and try to inject something again and it will work.

Good
Having created Emunand to load XCI copies, where can I play the original games?

a) On SX OS disabling Emunand

b) Without entering SX OS therefore OFW

If it is the b), What the option to enter SX OS with EMunand disabled for?
You can play in either EmuNAND or SysNAND. If you plan to play them online, SysNAND is your obvious choice.

stealth mode? are there DNS server which block nintendo? or a software for that? (all for atmosphere)
SX OS comes with Stealth Mode that blocks all Nintendo-related URLs. There's also a custom DNS server named 90DNS which does the same job. Although they are only useful if you plan on using FTP since they don't really prevent a ban, they just delay it.

Yes

Even though TX has now moved EmuNAND to the SD card, they still modify boot1 so that the console can boot into it (and hence why people still say its not a real EmuNAND implementation) so if you restore your original boot0/boot1, you will overwrite the EmuNAND installation in your boot1.

Format the SD card to FAT32 with GUIFormat since it is bigger than 32 GB.

Installing the same .NSP more than once will overwrite your previous installation. And since .NSP files are the same as any other content you install, you can use the Switch's internal Data Management feature to remove them.

Apparently its not even included in the guide anymore. Anyways, it goes into whatever CFW folder/titles so either atmosphere/titles/100D/etc... or reinx/titles/100D/etc... I'd also advise removing the hbl.nsp in the CFW folder as it may conflict with the 100D folder. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme...1/516440659775979531/010000000000100D_new.zip

If that still doesn't work, try loading the homebrew menu via SX OS. For that, you just need to download their CFW which will be named boot.dat, put it on the SD card, then send SX Loader (which can also be found on their website) as a payload. When you boot into CFW, you hold R to enter the homebrew menu with SX OS. This is their website in case you were unaware: https://sx.xecuter.com/

tried everything. It's impossible to boot reinx..

Which is the "best" of those? Atmosphere?

I'm planning on getting one of those dongles to pop into this mode with more ease, but this leaves me with a question; dongles are to boot into the mode, yes? They don't hold games or anything, that would be up to the internal memory of the system, correct?

I know ReiNX implemented this as a feature. With Hekate, it may be a sign of the Auto HOS Power Off if you see the Hekate logo before the console turns off.
tried everything. It's impossible to boot reinx..
Apparently 2.3 has problems loading the homebrew menu. Someone in ReSwitched suggest using SDFiles Version 10.1 (they were called SDFiles before they were renamed to Kosmos). Another alternative is to update your firmware without burning fuses which you can with ChoiDujour.

Wow that's good to know, thanks.
So if I restore my SysNand before doing the whole EmuNand installation, I should be fine, right?
