Gaming [Question] SSBU - Anyone seen this Activities bug yet?

From the first screenshot, you can see I have (1) spirit running an activity (Magnus, though it's not shown there).

The rest of the screenshots show my available activites. As you can see, he's nowhere to be found. It's been this way since I started my first run of WoL - it even forced me to learn what the heck an "activity" was earlier in the game than I should have.

I should also mention that because he's tied up in an Activity, I can't do anything with Magnus. He just sits there in my collection, grayed out.

Has anyone seen this yet? How do I fix it? What other info would you need to investigate?

Do you remember putting him in anywhere? What happens when you go by there?

I can confirm I didn’t actually put him anywhere. The weird thing about all this is that he was showing like that before I had actually unlocked any activities. You can imagine how confused I was trying to assign him to my party when he was caught up in something I knew nothing about.

So sorry to pull you into this @Stoned, and feel free to pass on this, but you're a genius when it comes to this stuff. Do you think maybe there's a hex value that's misplaced here, or something I can edit to free up that spirit?

Not yet. Still on 1.0 for various reasons. If I need to hold off on this issue and see if 1.1 eventually fixes it, I can do that.

Use a Save editor, for Reenable the Spirit or whatever you need. or disable the spirit? whit the save editor.

should fix your prblem.

There's no option that I can see in Ultimate Smasher to re-enable or disable the spirit. The only things I could see that were possible from the editor were to unlock all dojos / gyms and unlock all spirits and neither of those worked.

So I've now beat World of Light (not 100% but I've unlocked a fair number of "activities") and have updated to 1.2.1. The spirit is still stuck in an activity (doesn't say which one) and can't be found anywhere. Honestly, it's not stopping me from enjoying the game, but I'm wondering if this is broken, what else is that I'm just not seeing?

100%-ed WOL last night. Never experienced the above though. Must note; Official physical release, no editing no tampering as I am on an ipatched Switch.

Have you actually tried forcing each activity once? Maybe that will 'unlock' your spirit.
If you have completed WOL, do the NEW thing (you should know what I mean) does that keep him in an activity as well?
Also he is pretty far in the endgame so that sucks, ehh as you are going to edit ... can you not say give me another Magnus. The just dismiss the one in the activity ... or does that block dismissing ... not sure though.

- I've used each activity with single and multiple spirits throughout the game and nothing really unlocked Magnus.
- Doing the NEW thing doesn't release him from whatever activity he's in.
- Unable to dismiss spirits that are in activities, so no matter how many I have, I can imagine I still wouldn't be able to dismiss that one.

Thoughts anyone?

Update: I went back in to my completed WoL game and tried to unlock some of the areas I missed. Apparently the save editor failed to unlock Doc Louis’s place. Once I beat him and unlocked his gym, I found Magnus there. How could he have been there if i hadn’t even unlocked it yet...?

Well how he got there ... no clue really.
But out of the acitvities the gym was the one I really expected you had

It's the most worth while activity in WOL.
