Then you have never read https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-switch-banning-hub-warning.508710/ . Plenty of people who have been banned using legit XCI. Take a look.

No. https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-switch-banning-hub-warning.508710/ look at the info. People have been banned for simply using their own private cert with their XCI. No crashes, no libnx errors.
Do you really think most normal end-users will remember if a homebrew once crashed for them?
They also probably didn't include the creport nso from atmosphere in sxos to reduce the ban risk.
BTW there was a bug in fsmitm (which is also included in sxos) that caused crashes after some time of usage, and if I remember it correctly, they also created an error logs and most people probably had this crash happen to them at least once.

The recommendation to clear error logs on firmware 5.x and above was still there a long time after SciresM found out about the possibility of Nintendo detecting this, so maybe some people did this and got banned.

I just want the cheats feature and HDD support. XCI would be nice as an additional feature, but doesn’t have much of a point

It has a point you just haven't exposed yourself to the options you can use with it. Having HDD support would make you actually want to use xci if both were available in opensource. Nobody wants to admit it, but behind closed doors they would still use it

OP
I get it that pl favor over nsp b/c its the same thing as pkgs [ps3, ps4, vita] and cia[3ds/2ds] Thing is not everybody has the double storage to install them so it becomes a hassle to delete a game or 2 just to install a new one. Yeah ppl will say "Just get a bigger SD" well thats kinda the point xci's can be on external drives with way more storage. A 3TB can cost the same as buying 400GB SD card maybe less. Tho imo nsp's really shine on Emunand for safety sake of not installing them on the sysnand
Oh boy, the "double storage argument"
If you don't have enough storage, use the network installer. And or use a Usb device (which it does support installing from) (depending on how reasonable your computer and your network is. You can likely install games in a few minutes over wifi)

The creport in Atmosphere dumps reports to the SD card.

Missing an aspect of the OS does not necessarily reduce ban risk.

I understand what you're saying. I'm just not discounting multiple people reporting that they used real, personal certs (that nobody else used) with their XCI on SX OS and still got banned, and did not install any NSP's.

It's good to know that you haven't been banned. Good luck on that continuing to be the case.

I'll be fine I have a 8TB HDD to hold most of my games I pretty much prefer to use my SD card mainly for emunand/updates and DLC a 250gb card isn't enough.

If you only installed what you currently play, an SD card would be plenty.
Thats very true I only put my fav games on SD, but b/c I care about playing games with updated fixes and DLC I have to expand my storage space elsewhere.
Heck there are games exclusive to NSP, but I can just play them on PC so no worries there

Are you not able to convert eShop NSP's to XCI's now?

If I had a good enough PC, I'd play Zelda in 4K.

I'll definitely look into that theres a few nsps only games I wouldn't mind having as an xci World of FF is one of them. But yeah Cemu emulator gets better every release now im sure
BSOD Gaming has a video for low spec users

There is a discord group with over 1.5tb of custom xci files, nsp converted to xci with updates and dlc merged into the xci. Google is your friend

nsp's can be converted to xcis. On top of that the xci can include game/update/dlc all in one xci. and with sxos hotswap you can litterally clone the entire switch library for multiple switches in hours. that's impossible without sx-os.

There are definitely features of SX-OS that need to be ported over, like HDD support and XCI loading. But they will be made if and when someone decides to make them. Want it made, either start practicing or throw money someones way and hope for the best. People tend to do things at their own pace when working for nothing

i use full updatet xci with dlcs in it from my own cards ONLINE !! with savemods and im not banned since a long time. with NSCB with full custom modded settings.

for me this is the biggest point on the switch.

if u know how u can share tik/cert with friends one buy but mutch friends have online fun. and noone from us is banned.

but atm i see no tools that make a legit xci without ban chance.

we have also unbanned a switch with others hardware id it is so mutch more posibil as we see here. thats for sure!

I believe that XCI are also much safer in terms of being banned. I have only used XCI since the first release, also online, including updates etc. i play daily and still not banned

100% agree and i use nx-dereport all day too and no bans. but nintendo get never 1 error from the switch 100% not 1. best todo to go to that step is reset the switch in recovery and start from scatch.

if any has 50 error in the switch and delet it without recovery only with nx-dereport its normal that he get banned. to mutch idiots here. if i get a error i block the i-net with the router and after that i klick ok on the switch error message and reset again the error.

after that i go again online.

However, it's about people not paying for backup loading and destroying TX business
can we please ban this user for being a total knob?

so lets get this straight, you not only want to ruin the gaming industry by not paying for your games, you also want to ruin the team that first found the exploits and made piracy possible on the switch...... because you expect everything handed to you for free.

how about you fuck off, either
a) buy your fucking games at £50 each
b) buy xecuter and pay £45 and have free games
