sme updates are missing in that site too , a game i cannpot update for example is sonic all star raci g trasformed , not sure what "type" is , and get errors when trying to update by y on main menu or by eshops , sorry for noob questions , not practice in these things , i have a modded ds only from 1 month ...
If you go on Nintendo eShop and can't find a standalone Software Update for the game, that means it's Ryccardo's definition of Type 2.

I checked in eShop of USA and couldn't find a update. You'll have to verify if the update is EUR only.

I want to know why? Not more...
Probably because you have formatted your system at some point and restored a NAND backup or you had an emuNAND and fomatted either your sysNAND or emuNAND unlinking the NNID from your console on Nintendo's servers, but still having it linked on the console side. The console thinks your NNID is still linked but the servers see that your NNID is no longer linked to that console and NNID authentication fails. It should be fixable by injecting a blank nnidsave.bin, and linking your NNID again.

If the game is type 2, you can't update it because of Nintendo's server side check. They won't allow you download the game with a fake or spoofed ticket.

If the game is type 1, you would have to delete its standalone update title and ticket. Nintendo would then give you a legit ticket and then allow you to download.

That depends if Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (EUR) is considered a Type 1 or Type 2 game.
  • 000400000008fc00 is this game's Title ID.
***

If it's type 1, the expected Title ID of that standalone update is 0004000e0008fc00.

You would look for this in:
  • FBI → Tickets → 0004000E0008FC00 (green if update is installed; red if only the ticket is present).
or
  • FBI → Titles → Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Delete Title And Ticket
    • Do not mistakenly delete the game and/or DLC
***

If it's type 2, you would have to back up your save + extdata with Checkpoint or JKSM, try installing different/newer *.3ds (to convert) and *.cia sources of the game, and then restoring your game progress.

Yah, it's safe to update if your *.cia was sourced from 3DS cartridge rom.
on flashcards .3ds roms are used , not cias , btw i always downloaded .3ds and .cia from the web , so not sure if i'm totally safe also for avoid bans...only thing i knew was that .3ds are not safe to use online , cias installed yes...

will update pressing y still delete dlc like when acessing directly the e-shop ?

It's still safety update .cia files by eshop?

I installed Mario and Luigui Dream Team by FBI. Can I update it by eshop safely without getting banned?

My Luma is in the last version and I my console is the Old 3DS.

yep there's the real answer.
you can get any update on the eshop (for your region). you don't need the game to install the update.
you can install every single update available if you want (i have done this) - there's nothing bad that can happen.

still... if you are very strict and never take your 3ds online anyway, and are always offline, maybe just find a cia of the update.
Ok, thanks for helping me!
EDIT: Its worked well! the games not crash

i have googled this question and have gotten multiple answers. One answer tells me that updating the games via update file via the FBI application can get my 3DS banned from nintendos servers. another answer was that updating from the eshop is a no, however last night i updated ever oasis when i was prompted to and it worked. I also have a friend who says that updating games normally has worked for him and he has had his hacked 3DS for at least over 2 years without getting banned. The point is, I need a definite answer, so can anyone help me?
I've had CFW and CIAs for a while, and updating legitimate has never caused me a problem. I have NNID too, so you should be fine.

one of the things I've noticed is that eshop titles don't update if they're a different region from the 3ds eshop where it gets the information/nag that there's an update. chances are that if the install goes through, the game will still nag you that there's an update. you can find a list of updates in fbi or find the region of the game. I think this is even true (not updating through the eshop) if a game has been made region free, at least I've encountered it.
