Just go to System Settings, then select the option for NNID at the bar at the top of the bottom screen, it will log you in and let you unlink the NNID to make a new one, change some stuff and whatnot. Requires a wifi connection, so heads up.

PS: And at least it's an NNID you are stuck with, that's nothing to worry about compared to what other people got on their second-hand systems:P

System Format doesn't uninstall CFW, so literally nothing changes except for getting a new NNID afterwards and losing any tickets you may have (so backup the tickets beforehand). Once you backup the tickets you want to keep, simply format through the system settings.

@YuseiFD, do you have any games, DLCs, and updates you wish to keep? Dump them first as *.cia files.
If you perform a Format System Memory, this will change the KeyY in something called the movable.sed. The entire collection of games in the Nintendo 3DS folder will be rendered nonusable. The only way to keep those is to first dump and then reinstall them under the new user profile.

Later retrieval of those titles after reformatting the system is quite awful like in:

Those two things are kinda exactly the opposite... If it's used, it's not brand new:rofl2:

Just after format it will update the system to latest version, so if not on latest Luma, you should remember to update that or it won't boot.

If you already have CFW and everything, then during boot hold Select, if you are on Luma 9.1, just format, if not, grab the boot.firm of Luma 9.1 from here and put it in the root of your SD card.

As for dumping any titles you want to keep as CIAs to reinstall afterwards, follow the guide here: https://3ds.hacks.guide/godmode9-usage.html (Under the "Dumping a title" section)
