As far as I know, SX OS 2.3 can push henkate and create emuNAND (sort of, but i don't pretend to go online right now anyway, so this kind of emuNAND works just fine).
So i'll have a emunand on 6.2 and my OFW on 4.1.0 without burned fuses.

yeah the problems came up with 2.4, they were previously working fine with 2.3. so that is a good point, all your steps are fine if using 2.3. I don't know why i read it as you were going to use 2.4. that's my fault.

Does anyone know if there's a way of splitting XCI files when they are also too big, similar to NSP Splitters?

EDIT: Ok, found XCI cutter, will give it a try

My main issue is I split Smash bros Ultimate (NSP) and put it in tinfoil and still cannot get it recognized by any version of tinfoil - https://imgur.com/5yeLkq5

Any reason I should stay on 4.1? Now that 6.2 is hackable. Fat32 is giving me all sorts of problems and limtations. I have to yet play a single NSP. All I want is to play backups and RetroArch.

I'm trying to install the latest CFW on my switch but I cant boot a CFW. When I load ReiNX, it gets stuck on the girl splash screen and does not continue.
When I boot into Atmosphere, after the splashscreen, the screen goes black and stays that way.
Tried it several times and this keeps happening. Did I miss a step?
My switch is brand new. It came with OFW 2.2.0 and its serial is XAJ4001

I mean you can do all of that 4.1 but certain games won't work on 4.1 like Smash or Pokemon so I suppose you could update now that all CFW support 6.2. I highly recommend updating your firmware with the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX.

If the SD card is not formatted to FAT32, now is the time to do so. If it is larger than 32 GB, you will have to use a third-party program to do so such as GUIFormat.

First step towards any console hacking is backing up the NAND because the last thing you need is to have wasted all your money on a paperweight. Although SX OS can dump the NAND, I recommend Hekate to do it as it can verify the dump. From there, setting up EmuNAND is a good idea if you want to use the console online. Either way, you should then update the firmware without burning fuses using the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX.

Probably a weird/dumb question. But i decided i want my digital games physical.

But i wonder if there is a possibility to just download the DLC instead of the whole game?

For example:

Zelda BoTW will only install the DLC for me along with the full digital game. But i want the DLC only becaus i own the card now. How can i just get the DLC?

(this switch isnt hacked/not hackable).

My SD is 120GB and is formated Fat32 using GUIFormat. Is it because my OFW is too low and there is some sort of incompatibility with the CFW because it is too high a version?
Should I update my OFW to the latest 6.0.2 OFW and then try to apply the latest CFW?

Is the EmuNAND like a dual boot? Does it really work for online?
What is the best ofw for me to end up at?
Is there tutorial for all theses steps for sx users?
Is Hekate safe does it slowly damages the SoC?

From all the information I've gathered, yes kinda. The idea is to boot from the EMUnand when you want to run cfw for backups and Homebrew. Then if you want to go online you run the standard ofw from the sysnand and go online with your own games. Essentially keeping Big N in the dark

Your firmware does not currently support exFAT. All firmwares except 1.0 can support exFAT but they need to be patched in order to do so which is not applied out of the box. Updating your firmware is not going to fix booting CFW especially because the exploit relies on the hardware of the console so firmware is largely irrelevant.

If you don't have a clean NAND backup before you started using SX OS, Nintendo may be able to tell you were using SX OS the second you bring your console online.

Uh oh! I don't have a NAND backup for when the Switch was clean. If I go online and get banned, what happens? They'll stop me from updating the firmware?
I don't ever go online on that Switch, so I don't care if the account on it is blacklisted. However I want to be able to update and keep using SX OS to play the latest and future games offline

I've updated my Console from 5.1 to 6.2 using ChoiDujourNX. Now everytime I boot the console I wants to update to support the SD Card. But I can't apply the update. It had wörked before. Can anyone give a clue where to look or what to do?

There are 2 different types of bans; normal/soft bans and super/CDN bans. The only difference between the two is that a CDN ban will prevent system updates but both will block eShop access, online play, and game updates. Also accounts are rarely, if ever, banned. Meaning even if the console gets banned but not the account, you can still use the account on another console.

Did you select with or without exFAT on the following screen: https://images.sshnuke.net/2018-08-01_08-37-58_IoDdukSBc.png
