How to Install Emunand on MicroSD

Here is a short simple installation guide for MicroSD Emunand using SX OS 2.3

Proper Emunand installation:

1- Start SX Payload bin
2- Go to the Options menu and Create Emunand (Takes a while)
3- Turn off the system without booting
4- Remove MicroSD and insert into PC
5- Rename the Nintendo folder in the root of the MicroSD cart, into "Emutendo"
6- Insert MicroSD back into Switch
7- Boot Switch into OFW
8- Power off
9- Boot into CFW
10- Power off
11- Boot hekate mod 4.2
12- Restore your full raw nand backup that you had before WITHOUT restoring Boot0 and Boot1 (unless you've upgraded using ChoiDujour before)
13- ???
14- Profit!

If you want to upgrade your CFW, you can just use ChoiDujourNX without problems. It will only update your CFW version (Be sure to disable AutoRCM if needed)

Hope that the instructions are clear. If not, dick might get stuck

Edit: If someone wants to make a more detailed guide, be my guest to take these steps as your guidance.

Question: I had previously created an sysnand Emunand while OFW is 4.1.
Assuming i'm migrating the prev sysnand Emunand to microSD, how do I update the OFW?

Lastly, how's the speed of the emunand on microSD?

What’s the point of this? Does it restore to the realNAND or emuNAND?

Your steps are good and all but it would not have hurt to explain more what each step is for.

Edit: It seems at least for me it is an unneccessary step as my emuNAND works without it.

I'll edit the post tomorrow with some details on it.

Hi!
Why shouldn't I restore boot0 and boot1? Will this create any problems with my emunand?
In my case, I have a clean nand backup of a "never-before" hacked switch on 6.1 and I'm also using a recently created emunand on 6.1. I want to leave my OFW without any traces of hacking and keep using emunand for now.

Do I need to hold anything on the switch while turning on to boot into the ofw/cfw or does it give me the option when I turn it on normally??

Sold my hacked switch and got a clean one so that I can make a clean nand this time, I just really really don’t want to mess it up

When your changing the Nintendo folder to Emutendo when the private “2” overwrite pops up do you click on yes or no it also does the same for a couple of other files. Also converting back to Nintendo folder deleting emunand it does the same.
