The EZ-Flash Omega uses software emulation by means of the goomba software. Goomba does not support stretching of the screen or SGB borders at all. IIRC the author of the goomba emulator said that it's not feasible due to the screen scaling hardware not being accessible in GBA mode.

I have had "disappearing" folders on the EZ-Flash Omega as well when using an SD card that was formated to exFAT. Try formatting to FAT32. Copy everything from the SD to your PC, format the card to FAT32 and copy everything back over. There is no advantage of using exFAT over FAT32 on a device like this.

How do you inject the roms into Goomba Color? Have you tried running the resulting Goomba GBA title in a GBA Emulator on PC (like VBA)? Does it work there or do you also get a white screen?

oh, that's sad, i gues... i found the GBA screen already small, and now is going to be even smaller with the GameBoy games O.o

my SDCard is formated in FAT32

when i try running the game on VBA i got this error, and then this screen...

well, it looks like you forgot to add GB games to your goomba color compilation or did something else to break it. Either way, I have no way to watch a video tutorial so you need to either double check that the tutorial is correct and you're doing all the steps correctly or find a different tutorial.

I've watched it again and it looks like I've done everything correctly... is there any other GB/GBC emulator for GBA?

no, there is no other GB/GBC emulator for GBA.

if you followed the tutorial exactly and that's your result, the tutorial is simply wrong. You'll have to find a different tutorial then.

A small correction, but EZ-Flash Omega actually uses Goomba Color and it does have some support for SGB borders. But, AFAIK, it functions at the very start of a game to try to detect the SGB border, then resets and uses that static border for the rest of the game. So, any game that uses dynamic borders or doesn't set a static border at the start will not have a SGB border.

Huh, so it seems. I never realized Goomba (*) had support for borders because I hardly ever use it - I usually just use my EDGB.

Either way:
@Thales720 you should remember that the Goomba version built into the omega firmware is already the latest version of Goomba, using the standalone version of Goomba will not make any difference. If you can't get standalone Goomba to work, you might stick to the built in version, there is no reason to go through the process of building a binary.

* I usually use the name "Goomba" as a catch-all for Goomba and Goomba color

Yea, I can understand that. The major reason I made the point is that Goomba Color in striving to support Gameboy Color games has resulted in slightly different behavior in emulation in a variety of cases on Gameboy games*, and it's enough that some people (like me) prefer to use Goomba specifically over Goomba Color in those cases. The other reason, of course, is that I made a whole fork of Goomba to add a lot more custom palette/border support, and that's rather nice to use for Gameboy games as it grants more flexibility. Having said that, later versions of Goomba Color added a bunch of palettes as well, so at least that end of it is similar.

I know it sounds like somewhat pointless quibbling, but for some people it might be useful to know or consider. I definitely understand using the short-hand of Goomba refering to both Goomba and Goomba Color, and I do the same with PocketNES even though the "official" version vs the latest version by Dwedit are quite different (including improved compatibility, speed improvements, etc).

It's funny you bring up the EDGB as it looks quite nice. Even though I have a GB Bridge+F2A, I don't actually use it very much because Goomba/Goomba Color are pretty amazingly good. The other thing is the GB Bridge+F2a are a lot more limited than the Everdrive GB. If I owned a GBC, I'd be very tempted to buy one. But, then I'm tempted to buy lots of stuff I don't really need. :)

* I have no idea if this actually results in substantially different behavior except to the extent that there are some quirks between the GBC vs GB and I don't think Goomba Color avoids recreating those quirks for Gameboy only games. So, basically, it's more (an probably overly) cautious choice since Goomba as an option is available and for people who already have an EZ4 isn't much of a burden if you've already made a lot of compilations.
