What format of videos should have to watch them using Luma 3DS and what homebrew program should I use for that? And how about audio, can I play flac and ogg audio files?
Should I update the firmware of my old 2DS?

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help. I currently have a new 2dsxl on official sw 11.6.0-39E, as well as a Stargate 3DS card and a R4i Gold Plus (with ntr switch inside the cart).
Initially I wanted to be able to run both ds and 3ds roms without changing the official sw. I bought the R4i and then realised it didnt play 3ds roms (hence buying the Stargate). The stargate worked really well with both ds and 3ds roms for a good few weeks.
Life got busy and I left the console in my cupboard for a couple of months with the stargate cart in it. Today I tried loading it up again and I keep getting read issues with the Stargate cart. I've tried different SD cards but no joy. The red LED keeps illuminating on the cart whenever I start the console with it in and although it does rotate through the 3ds roms, when I load up the 2ds menu screen, it just gives me 2 blank white screens until I reset.
Ideally I want to be able to stay on OSW (in case I want to sell it in future. Don't want to install CFW if it'll put buyers off) and play 3ds games. Not bothered about online play (I haven't connected it to wifi since I bought it, didn't see a need). And I am lost in all this talk of CFWs, different card types and so on. Can someone please tell me what my best option is?

Edit to add: I bought the Stargate card from Online Trends in August this year. Their website now seem to redirect to Cymods. Is this the same company?

the fw is 9.2.0-2oE when i take the memory card out (sysnand ?)
I have also bought the original Tomodachi life cartridge for my dtr.
What would be the best way to play Tomadachi with all the updates , latest version etc and go online with the cartridge, would i be able to keep the CFW too for later homebrew use if i wanted ?

A whole lot of games work on the USA region but some might need a specific region.
"The Nintendo 3DS line however, does enforce region locking for 3DS-specific software, with the exception ofNintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre, which is region-free. It can be bypassed by using custom firmware or homebrew" from Wikipedia.

then you should do this Homebrew Launcher (Soundhax) - 3DS Hacks Guide but before you do you will need to change your theme in sysnand to uninstall menuhax as it causes inconsistencies with the guide, and when you get to the end there will be a optional section to move emunand to sysnand do that section as well

There is no software exploit for the 11.5 firmware. To install B9S and Luma, upgrade to 11.8 and then... all you need is https://3ds.hacks.guide/ follow the Frogminer tutorial. It uses a free game (Steel Diver: Sub Wars). Before you begin, test if the DS-mode works. There have been a few cases with unusable DS-mode lately. Start any DS cartridge or the Download Play app and choose DS, not 3DS.
If the game/DS Download Play App boots, you can use Frogminer.

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games+1 -
