Gaming LGPE: Unable to Play Offline?

So I don't have a switch(Nor have I ever owned one), but my friend does and she can't play LGPE offline

It keeps telling her that she has to be online to play LGPE

I figure that she's on 6.2.0, but she has stock FW. Her switch hasn't seen the light of CFW.

Any help or answers are appreciated, just trying to help a friend out by looking and asking around.

She got the game from the switch bundle

Did she preload the game and is starting it up for the first time? When you preload a game, the first time you try to start it it will need to confirm with the eShop servers that the game's release date has been reached and to authenticate the purchase.

She says that she has preloaded it and each time that she loads it up, it forces her to connect to the internet and gives her a warning before booting her out

She needs to connect to the internet to unlock the game. Also, she should make sure her Switch is set to her Primary console. This allows her to play any of her digital games offline (as opposed to not having your console set as primary then you can only play them while online for verification of ownership).

Yup that was why, she had the second switch with LGPE set to secondary

originally I thought that she only had one switch, but then she started to talk about transferring her data from her 1st switch to her current(LGPE switch)
